PIPM: Pretty in Pink Megan: Calling all Beauty Junkies!

Calling all Beauty Junkies!

I am addicted to face care items. I will try anything and everything for improving the skin on my face. I am now in desperate need of an eye cream that ACTUALLY WORKS!!! Why is this so hard to find? I feel like all eye creams are full of false promises. I have literally almost tried them all.

Maybe there are none that work? Maybe getting all that botox stuff is really the only solution? I don't know, I've never tried it and I am probably too young to try it, but for those that have, does it take away the dreaded eye wrinkles?

Truthfully, I am pretty paranoid and freaked out about getting wrinkles. I know that I am only 25, but trust me, they are coming.

So, calling all beauty junkies, face cream addicts, oldies but goodies .... I need to know if you have ever found an eye cream that ACTUALLY works and makes your eye wrinkles less noticeable?

I have been using these Become Beauty products for about a year now and my skin has never looked better. I know that my mom uses the eye cream and she loves it, I have definitely seen an improvement in her eye area in terms of wrinkles and puffiness. http://www.becomebeauty.com/products-online/Age-Resistant/Hydrate/!Eye-Cream. You can also order a free sample kit from the company and it has a sample size eye cream in it that you could try first. http://www.becomebeauty.com/Products/free-sample/

My mother uses Chanel's Ultra Correction Eye Lift & I think it does wonders for her - she loves it! Her next step is Botox & the like, but for now I think it's a great alternative! Good luck with your hunt!

This is one other product that my mom uses and swears by to get rid of and prevent fine lines and wrinkles all over her face, and I can really see a difference too. http://www.becomebeauty.com/products-online/Age-Resistant/Treat/!Line-Corrector#fragment-3

I´ve tried them all in my 20´s. No true wrinkle cream exists that will get rid of wrinkles, if they did no one would have wrinkles and botox/fillers/face lifts, etc...would be out of business. We want to belive it, we want to buy it because it sound so good, we see all the commercials and all the models with flawless (airbrushed) skin, it´s ridiculous. The only thing that works is sunscreen and Botox.

Hi doll!! My dermatologist told me that the only thing that really works on wrinkles is retin-A...

But you can definitely prevent wrinkles by 1. staying out of the sun 2. protecting yourself when you're in the sun...

I'm 41 years old and literally do not have a wrinkle on my face (ok not any noticable ones). ;-) You know why? I've never tanned my face!!

I've lately started protecting my neck and cheast too. That's where a woman really shows her age...

Any good moisterizer and staying out of the sun will do the trick. :-)

My favorites brands so far have been La Mer (for hydration) and SK-II (anti-aging). But honestly, using a top notch sunscreen makes the biggest impact for me.

Hey! The best thing to use is a retin-a its the only proven topical cream to actually prevent and decrease fine lines and wrinkles! I should know I worked in a medical esthetics office for 8yrs! Recently they have come out with restifa which doesn't cause you to peel like retin-a does. I swear by it! You can only get from a derm or a plastic. Its amazing!! You should look into it.

Dee is right, sadly :-( I have a forehead wrinkle at 25 due to my squinting in the sun. The best way to keep wrinkles away is staying out of the sun and hydration. I wear a cute golf visor now. So what if I look like a soccer mom - my skin will thank me at 40!
As for an actual product - look into avon. I have used avon my entire life and I have always received compliments on my skin.

sunscreen, sunglasses, lubriderm (yup!), sleep, wash your face each night. I am 41 and regularly people ask me how old I am and are very surprised when they find out.
Genes also play a factor - my mom is 70 and has only a few small wrinkles near her eyes, mostly from smiling. She swears by Oil of Olay. Save your money for cute shoes instead of lotions and potions.

Khiel's eye cream is the business! My husband and I both use it! He needs it more than I do and I've noticed it working on him!!! It's awesome!

Hi Megan, I've never commented before, you have such a fun blog! But I wanted to let you know about a website. Have you heard of The Cosmetic Cop? http://www.paulaschoice.com/

She does reviews on all sorts of products and sells her own, but does recommend other products as well as her own. She has a separate site where you can look up a product and find reviews. (It does cost, but it is minimal, look up a coupon for half price) http://www.beautypedia.com/default.aspx

She uses extensive scientific research for her reviews. Removing all the hype of marketing and just getting to the science of how the product works. Sometimes it is a bummer when you discover that a great product with all kinds of claims for getting rid of wrinkles turns out to be inflated and will not work what-so-ever, but I think it is good information. I use her products and love them, my skin has never looked better, I hope you'll take a look! Oh and she says you do NOT need eye cream, your face cream is just as good!

Personally, I have used All About Eyes by Clinique for over 10 years. I'm 39 and everyone is surprised to hear it. AND - I lay in the sun. I know, bad. All About eyes also helps me with puffiness (allergies/sinuses). Try it! :-) XOXO

I've been using Chanel Sublimage Regenerating Eye Cream and swear by it. It's reduced my dark circles a bit, moisturizes like crazy, and smells really lovely.

botox kills over 100 animals including mice, cat and sometimes dogs in EVERY batch. They inject it into the lungs of the animals and they slowly die. They do this at all of the companies that manufacture it and this is true of juvederm too. They do these cruel tests because they need to make sure it is not toxic so they test it and dilute it until the animals are not exphisiating to death and over 100 can die for each batch. go with restalyne it is safer anyway and chemical peels and the like work beautifully
