I go back and forth with bangs too. After a month or so of getting them, I usually regret the decision. I've decision to remain "bang free" for now.
Have you checked out the website warbyparker.com? They have frames that are very similar to the style Elle is wearing. Plus, they will send you up to 5 pairs to try out for 5 days. Oh, and they are really inexpensive!

Long hair with bangs would look stunning on you. I love the ombre too. Go for it! I cut bangs and grow them out all the time. In 6 months you can go from blunt to side-swept...it's not that bad. :-)

I keep thinking more and more about dying my hair but I just can't get up the nerve to do it. I highlighted my hair once in high school but otherwise nada.
