Stop the presses! Top handle bags are everywhere. You really can't hide from this trend. I really enjoy top handle bags, but only if they have a shoulder strap. I've had my fair share of top handle bags in the past (e.g. Speedy) and hated them because I need something I can throw over my shoulder.
There is a new trend that has emerged of top handle bags with shoulder straps, and I am hooked! Most of them resemble a satchel and some are even rugged.

there are tons of "faux" mulberry alexa bags out there and i LOVE them. i ordered a navy/white striped satchel of similar style from Aldo for the summer. the shoulder/top strap combo is a must!
I love the straw clutches that I've been seeing, but of course, I would love one of these bags for work.

Funny you've said this cause I was in the Coach store (new to London) the other day and I was like What in God's name is up with all these handles and shoulder straps?!? I wasn't asthetically a fan, but now that you've written this, I can see how practical this is...

I LOVE the bags but... I purchased a Mulberry Alexa last summer. I was so sad but I actually ended up selling it, the flip top was just too frustrating with two young kids. Trying to carry baby and get my keys out of my purse was a nightmare. I am always jealous when I see someone carrying one.
