Let's examine-
I just adore this Vince Caplet ... so much that I bought one for myself! I love that it has slit sleeves which make moving around easy, because let's be honest, sometimes moving your arms around under a cape can be difficult:
This is taking the trend a little far (as in this poncho is as big as a semi-truck), but I do think it's cute for the right event (maybe a football game in the winter). Okay, or maybe it just looks reminiscent of a snuggie, but I would totally rock it:
If that is too much, try this oversized sweater that still gives you the look of the "cape", yet it has sleeves:
I do love this Theory Caplet sleeved jacket, very sleek:
Also, I am a fan of this oversized sweater jacket by Theory:
And we can't forget the classic poncho, the Burberry poncho/cape:

I'm not really a fan of the poncho at all. I do like the jackets that have the arms wide and flared out like you show or the swing jackets or the big sweaters, but just not a fan of the poncho/shaw thing. But like you said, sure you could rock it!
That's one train I don't think I'm jumping on. I'll stick to the over-sized sweater.
I LOVE the Theory capelet, and of course the Burberry poncho. I really do like this trend, but I think if I actually wore it I would look funny. I'm a student, so it might be kind of hard to work with. You'll definitely have to show pics of yourself in your new purchase! :) Have a great day!
YES!!! I bought a charcoal cape/poncho last year and tried to wear it, but nobody "got it". I'm so glad that I can wear it this year as an actual trend! It has a small turtleneck and is about hip-length. LOVE IT!

I had a purple poncho a few years ago that I sold to an upscale consignment shop last year and now I am wishing I still had it! I love this trend! I am contemplating buying the Lilly Pulitzer one. I think it will go on my Christmas wishlist. I really want a sweater coat too!
I'm not a big fan of capes or ponchos, but I do like the Theory one. I like them on other people, though~

I love the Theory caplet jacket. So cute! I've been eyeing a Burberry cape on Saks.com with an attached scarf for months. It is fabulous.

I love the Theory capelet jacket...so much that I'm adding it to my Christmas list! I do not love the gray pancho. I think that would make anyone look enormous.

This was a popular look when I was in college in the early 2000s. Looking back at some of the pictures, I think it just looks sloppy. I think I will stick with the pashmina!
I'm not a huge fan of ponchos, but I love that blue one listed! I think it's one of those trends that you need to really love. But I love jackets with big wide arms!!
Hmm. . .I feel like that would just make me look huge! I do like oversized sweaters, but not huge capes.
I like them on others but they are not flattering on me! The Theory capelet is my favorite.
oh goodness. the ones above from Theory are to die for. i have been looking for a wrap or cape for the fall/winter but i can't find any that i just love. until now that is!

I like the poncho trend... It's flattering on most as long as you don't go too large. And I LOVE that theory coat with the cap sleeves.. love...
