It's been quite the whirlwind of a few weeks around here. I received news a couple of weeks ago that my job that I've held for almost 4 years would be relocating. I kicked job-searching into high gear and surprisingly found a new job within 2 weeks! I wasn't really expecting the job search to go so quickly, so things have been chaotic to say the least. I am now working full time in the skincare industry for a product that is manufactured here in Memphis. I am doing a lot of social media and E-commerce strategizing as well as customer service inquiries and concerns. I feel like this is the perfect job for me given my intense interest in skincare. All of the marketing, SEO, Ecomm stuff is fascinating to me, so I am excited to learn more about those areas.
In my past job, I was able to work from home when I wasn't traveling. My new job is a standard office job, so I am loving the chance to wear normal clothes again. I pretty much have the business casual look down to a science. Basic dress + tights + boots + scarf. Now that it's getting warmer I will forgo the tights and hopefully wear cute flats and sandals.
Working from home was nice, but I always said it was making me shrivel away as a human being because of no contact with people. This is one of my favorite cartoons on working from home.
Speaking of business casual, here is a casual Friday look that doesn't involve jeans! I got this sweatshirt dress from GAP a while back and paired it with my recent favorite scarf from J.Crew.

I couldn't stop laughing at the cartoon! I'd say it described my life now!! Some days, I'm so used to only "talking" virtually (emails, comments, twitter etc) that when the hubby came home and asks me how my day went, it took me a while to verbalize the words. Congratulations on your new job.
