PIPM: Pretty in Pink Megan: Bedding & Decor

Bedding & Decor

Recently, I have been perusing Jessica's blog at The Love List for some decorating ideas. We have the same decorating style (as well as taste in clothes), and I was looking for some bedroom inspiration. She loves the bold and fun patterns of fabric designer and interior design guru, Rubie Green, who once worked for Domino and now owns her own design business.

Rubie's fabrics are brilliant! They are all so fun and perfect for my taste! She also has a line of bedding in addition to her fabrics.

I was thinking of doing her "Classic" Duvet Cover while adding some spice with her "East Village" Sheet set.

It would look similar to this:

And for a desk chair, how about this Chippendale chair? Adorable!

Rubie designer, Michelle Adams, also maintains an adorable blog, M-A Belle.

That yellow bed ensamble is adorable! The desk chair is very cute too but I'm not sure how comfy it would be though if you work from home.

Hi Megan!
Wow- thank you so much for your kind post! Loving your blog, and am so flattered that you've included me :)

As for the bedding, I love pairing 2 Euro shams in the East Village with the Classic duvet and East Village sheet set. On my own bed I currently have this combo, but instead of using the East Village pillowcases that come with the sheet set, I paired it with two standard Classic shams to tone it down a bit. Hope that helps!

Thanks again!
Xo Michelle.

Great chair. I have a Chippendale chair that I found in an antique store. There is a great antique reproduction version at Ballard Designs that is very reasonable. On sale for $250 now! Called the Macau Chair and here's the link.

Stumbled upon this blog but I am in Memphis too. Try Sheffield's Antiques out In Collierville. Lots of junk in there but you can find a few gems if you visit regularly.
