I am becoming quite the traveler, despite some funny mishaps at the beginning of my adventure. Upon my arrival in "southern city"last week, I was told that my reservations were at a "Comfort Inn & Suties", or so I thought. I wheeled in the Comfort Inn and noticed that there was only one other car in the parking lot. Puzzled, I got out all 16 of my bags and walked in to check-in. As I read my confirmation number to the desk worker, he looked at me like I was stupid. I re-read the email confirmation to him and he started to laugh at me. "Ma'am, this is the Comfort Inn, not the Comfort Suites." Geez, who knew they were two different hotels?! I always thought it was called "Comfort Inn and Suites". So, I packed all my bags back in and drove another couple of miles to the Comfort Suites.
I will say that staying in a hotel alone is kind of weird. And forget about me eating at a restaurant alone. It's not that I care, but I'd rather not chance getting hit on or abducted by a creeper. Plus the local Hooter's and Logan's Roadhouse beside my hotel just weren't cuttin' it. Most nights I drove to the Super Target and got some Lean Cuisines. Thank goodness for wireless internet, because I don't know what I would have done without it.
I really need to get that Longchamp suitcase I was talking about a while ago. I am so tired of traveling with 16 different bags. This is what my travel situation looks like:

I was in Atlanta the beginning of last week and did quite a bit of shopping. Anthropologie had some great things for transitional pieces. Here are some of the things I purchased from Anthro:

I am going to wear this dress/tunic with black pants and possibly belt it:

I also got this cute dress from Antrho, which I wore to a work-related retreat:

I have wanted the "simple 100" Loub pumps for a while now. I decided that camel would probably be the best option since they would go with anything. The simple 100's are SO comfortable ... seriously, I wore them all day and they didn't hurt my feet:

I hope everyone has been doing great. I promise I will be back to my normal every-day blogging self once all of this initial work orientation, training, and meetings are over.
I am going to list some more things on the Online Yardsale tomorrow. I am also going to mark down some of the items that did not sell.

Those are some very nice tops.
It looks like you found a lot of great things!
I just made a post on new Anthropologie items! Good to see you also found some great, cute tops!!! And I had to comment on the CL pumps... I have the "mia pump" which is basically the same and it is SO comfortable. It is the only shoe I can wear all day at the office and not have any blisters. I think it's really the round toe that makes it so much more comfortable... but I definitely have become a huge fan and am convinced my feet were meant only for (expensive) CL shoes. ;)
Hope work and traveling slows down for you some!
i've only stayed in a hotel alone once, it was last summer. it was so weird!!! i felt so adult! ha. all your new things are sooo cute! i'm jealous!
I love that silver ruffle top!
YAY! You got the Wavelet blouse! I just ordered that on Friday- such a pretty, pretty, pretty top.
I think I'd also feel freaked out staying at a hotel by myself...but I love that you dropped the word "creeper". I say "creeper" all the time, hee.
Love the shoes! Heading to Atlanta in a few weeks (although the real purpose is to bring my girls to the American Girl doll store) but I cannot wait to get some shopping in!
Those shirts are fabulous! Hope your trip goes by quick this week so you can get on home!
My parents and I made that same exact mistake once! We never realized there was a difference between Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites either! I just love the dresses you bought, I need to make a trip to Anthroplogie soon!
It sounds like this is a busy and exciting time in your life. I love your new anthro purchases and of course the shoes are tres fab. I've said this before, but your blog is one of my very favorites...so I can't wait for you to get back to blogging again!! Have fun with all of your business adventures. =)
Love your choices.
I too always thought it was the Comfort Inn and Suites, who knew?!
love those shoes. and yes, looks like you need some bigger luggage!
i don't like to travel alone for work either. love your new loubs!
Staying alone at a hotel is weird at first, but then you get used to it. I have gotten to the point now where I sometimes even enjoy it!
I hate staying in hotels alone too. I always miss my hubby when I travel for work!
Can I say how jealous I am of your Loubies? Kudos to staying in a hotel alone. I'm 30 years old and have yet to do that.
