PIPM: Pretty in Pink Megan: Monday Funday

Monday Funday

After careful consideration of all of your all's fabulous skin care advice, I have decided to take the advice of a professional- My White Coat Hides My Outfit. She has an adorable blog and is having a great giveaway now, so check it out. She is also a Physician's Assistant at a Dermatology Center, so I figured what she uses must be GOOD!

She suggests using NeoStrata Smoothing AHA Lotion in the morning, followed by La Roche Posay 60 SPF Sunscreen melt and a Retanoid Creme at night. I have heard great things about retinoid cremes and have always wanted to try one. I called my derm last week and got a prescription for Retin-A 10%. I have been using it for three nights now and I am still waiting for my face to sloth off like a bad sunburn (that's what they say retin-A does to your skin at first- almost like a mild chemical peel). Retin-A makes your skin super-sensative to the sun, so you can guarantee I'll be covered in sunscreen- I am most of the time anyways and I HATE laying out, so this is the perfect solution for me!

Thank you all for your kind advice though, I really appreciate it.

On to more interesting topics, MY HAIR! My hair appointment is tomorrow and if you all know me, I'm itching for something new. I can't decide if I want:
1)Same Length with bangs

2)Shorter Length with bangs

3)Shorter Length sans bags

Thoughts?

Of course, I found www.hairstlyer.com that allowed me to upload my picture and test out different hairstyles.

Just in case you were curious, here is what I would look like with a spiked mullet (more like party in the front AND back!):

And for pure fun, I give you, THE KATE GOSSELIN (business in the front, party in the back):

Those pictures are hilarious. I REALLY like all those cuts. Maybe you can start out with the bangs, see how you like them, then if you want to take more off the length, you can do that soon after. Cute, cute haircuts.

I have an Ellen Barkin haircut picture from a few years back that I need to dig up and show you. I had that haircut and loved it.

Bangs first, then maybe go shorter. I have a serious attachment to my hair!

I always love nicole richie's hair but my hair is too thick to copy hers. I love all of those and you look great with short hair!

OK, I personally love the Nicole Richie haircut. It's so versatile and super fun. I currently have a version of it and it's easy to take care of and since the bangs are so long, they are not too high maintenance. About the Retin-A, a friend is doing the treatment right now and the only thing she noticed was that the first week she was breaking out a lot. But the doctor said that is totally normal. SHe has then kept up with the treatment and her skin is looking fabulous. Good luck.

I really like Nicole's cut. I think that would look fabulous on you.

And how is it possible that you somehow made the Kate Gosselin cute?!? Not even fair!

Nicole Richie's for sure!

Megan, you are adorable and will look great with any of them. But, my fave is the Nicole Richie cut. This is actually the cut I want after my wedding next May, when I plan to finally cut my long hair!!

I like option #1 or #2...I think bangs are definitely the way to go! They'll look great!

I would go with more of a sweep than full-on bangs. I have a real bangs-phobia left over from the early nineties, though...

You'll be lovely whatever you decide. Can't wait to see your final decision!

I vote #3. Please not Kate Gosselin hair! My husband calls it the "reverse mullet".

Can't wait to hear how the skincare routine works. I vote for the Nicole Ritchie style.
