Where to start? We were fortunate enough to have a fabulous wedding photography team over at Allison Rogers Photography. All of the pictures were absolutely beautiful and stunning. I am a little overwhelmed with picking out which ones I want to hang in our home.
For those of you who have done a "wedding collage" on the walls in your home- Where do you start? I feel like there are SO many ones that I want, but I can't hang 600 pictures on my wall! haha ... I guess the first step would be to order the prints that I want and then to purchase the frames, correct?

We are getting our "coffee table" book eventually, which will compile several of our wedding photos, but I really want to get many prints to hang.
Those of you who have done this before, where did you start with picking out pictures to hang?

i'm going through this right now too! i got married almost a year ago but we've been remodeling our house so i am just now getting to the point where i can think about hanging all my wonderful photos. i want to hang them all! keep us updated with which pictures you choose and how you are going to display them!
we did this in our living room last year. it's my most favorite thing in our house.

I just recently ordered a bunch of our prints - you are right - it is SO overwhelming choosing! I selected several of my favorite for oversized prints (about 3), then several 8x10s, and mostly 5x7s and 4x6s. I purchased most of the frames from the Pottery Barn Gallery Framers Collection - they have multi-openings and all of the frames come with pre-cut archival quality mats. PB also has a design gallery tool available online to give you ideas about how to hang! One tip we discovered: lay your frames out on the floor in the order and arrangement you want to hang them... THEN transfer to the wall!
I have no idea, but I'll definitely check out some of the ideas from others and maybe do something similar. Thanks for posting about this!

I haven't done this yet, but my sister has and I helped her. We printed (on regular paper) a copy of the pics we kept coming back to (for more than ten seconds) and taped them to the wall to get a sense of the arrangement. Then, measure all of your frames and mark where you want them before you start hammering. Have fun!
I am going through this as well! What I did was I started off with my favorite photo 8x10 and made that a focal point on the wall and then matched photos around it..like individual photos of us 5x7, details of the wedding 4x6, etc. Good luck!

I love your wedding pictures. Love. We have been married almost 2 years and I have 1 picture printed. It's shameful, especially considering how much we paid for our photographer! I am setting a goal to get a gallery wall up by our anniversary. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

You know, we only have one out and that is upstairs in a bedroom, so we're of no help whatsoever Miss PIPM. (But we love having any opportunity to gaze again at those yummy photos!)

pick the ones that really make you feel something. don't get opinions from folks helping you. the point of hanging them is to remind yourself of THAT day and your flood of emotions. they might not make "sense" but like us, 14 years of marriage later, those are the images that remind us of the small details of that day that we shared. (from the images you originally shared, ALL of them are great so you can't choose wrong ;-)
I picked candids but everyone is different. You'll figure it out! xoxo
I think it's nice when they're presented in progression of the evening. It's almost like you're reliving the night all over again!!
