I love my short hair. It is so easy and chic! Recently, I've wanted to do something fun and different with my hair , so I decided to get bangs. I haven't had full-on bangs since early college (think Heidi Klum haircut). Before that I hadn't had them since my Mom used to tease them back and fluff them with hairspray. Today's bangs can be really fun! Bangs are an easy way to bring yourself out of a hair rut if you're feeling bored with your current hairstyle.
I wanted them to resemble Anna Wintour's without being so blunt:

I'll probably get tired of them in a couple of months and let them grow out again, but for now they are a fun way to spice up boring hair!

the bangs are so stylish! i swear, you can pull off any haircut! long hair w/ long bangs, short hair w/ long bangs, short hair w/ shorter bangs. so lucky! and do you notice that new hair almost makes clothes look completely different?
