What do you all think?
Trend on the Horizon
An up and coming trend for 2010 is none other than the CLOG. I am really not sure how I feel about this trend. I am all for clogs as a comfortable alternative to house shoes, but I would have never pictured clogs as being haute couture. The spring/summer runway shows were full of clogs. Perhaps the most popular is this Chanel clog seen below. I don't think I'd have that much of a problem with the clog if it were for fall/winter 2010, but to me, spring does not scream CLOG.

Absolutely not. To quote Blair Waldorf, "Well, I can see my advice went the way of the clog!" Serena: "What are you talking about?"
Blair: "An ugly wooden shoe that tried to make a statement and then disappeared."
I agree with you! I'm okay with clogs for fall/winter,but spring/summer? I don't get it! I'm have a cute pair of Michael Kors clogs but not sure I would wear them with a cute summer dress.
I would never, ever wear clogs no matter how big they become this spring. I hope the trend goes away soon!
I remember when clogs were all the rage in middle school. Not sure I want to relive that again, but that is what I said about leggings too!
So I will just wait awhile on the clogs to see how others react to it :-)
They were uncomfortable the first time around... not sure I'll be rushing out to spend hard-earned cash on this trend which without a doubt will be out of style faster than you can say Chanel temporary tatoos - also a wierd trend this year... what's Lagerfeld thinkin these days?!?!
I wore clogs the end of grade school into middle school, we will see if this trend come my way or not!
YUCK.
Although 2 years ago I did say that I would NEVER wear leggings... so.
and I'm with ya on the fall/winter thing.. but even that isn't really practical.
Over all - Gross.
I would not wear clogs and don't care if they are a trend or not. For some reason this is just one shoe I have never been fond of unless like you said a clog type house shoe.
Clogs! Seriously?!
I am having my first ever give*away if you are interested.
I totally agree - and I had to laugh out loud at the Gossip Girl quote last night, given all the hype clogs are getting now!
They would cover up one of the best things about spring, showing off pretty pedicures!!!
I was reading some other fashion blogs and have been seeing the clog and hoping it's a mistake. Or perhaps an early April Fool's joke. I cannot get into the clog, no matter whom makes it!
i think i will have to skip this trend, just not happening
I'm completely anti-clog. Unlike skinny jeans, my position on this will not waver.
I think they are OK for Fall/Winter, but for Spring? Mmm. Not so much. I'm probably going to let this trend pass me by much like the parachute pants and silk jumpsuits...just not me...
They are absolute awful for the spring or summer. Can you imagine wearing them with a sundress? I hope they go away--or at least go away until the fall.
I think they are horrible!! U-G-L-Y! haha
No, no, no. Clogs are ugly and I hope they never return. I couldn't believe that they were on runways when I was looking through pictures. Gag.
I agree with you 100%! Clugs made a brief apperance in high school and to me that is a time period they should stay in. Neon also tried to make a come back and well, that didn't take, as my mother always says "this to shall pass"
Another trend whose bandwagon I will be avoiding....
Absolutely not. Amen to Samma with the Gossip Girl reference!
Totally NOT feeling the clogs. Hope they disappear and soon. :-) XOXO
I would have to agree with majority of you. Clogs should remain in Holland and circa 1995. If they're that adamant about a second chance it would have to be in the colder months.
Well I read it here first ... but my inbox today had an email from Who, What, Wear reporting clogs to be the upcoming trend. You have a good eye!! Better than the pros. :) Xoxo-BLC
Ew, please no clogs.
Totally not even joking, I sent a pair to Goodwill the SAME WEEK I saw that Chanel had sent them down the runway. I had held on to them for so long! Not sorry I gave them up, though. It's just so ironic!
Absolutely not! They bring far too many memories back of my middle school obsession with Candies wooden clogs... never again.
