As you all probably know by now, I get obsessed with shows and start watching them back to back. My latest obsession is Beverly Hills, 90210. I watched this show sometimes when I was younger (it aired when I was age 5-15), but I never really paid attention or knew what was going on. Recently, I have started watching it on SoapNet, which has spawned an obsession of watching it online. I find myself always rooting for Kelly and Dylan because I love Kelly and always tend to root for the bad guy.
I am currently on Season 9 where Dylan comes back in town. I have started to hate Gina and I think she plays a really annoying and needy character. I know what happens in the end, though, because I actually watched those last episodes when they aired and remember what happened.
This show is so filled with drama and life-changing events. They really don't make shows like this anymore.Who was your favorite character on 90210 and what was your most memorable situation or happening on the show?

I watched 90210 from start to finish, of course, I am a little older than you! ;) I still watch on soapnet. I always loved Brandon, of course, I'm a goody two-shoes and so was he! I can't think of the most memorable moment, but what comes immediately to mind is Dylan and Brandon on that hike where Brandon falls off the cliff and Dylan saves him.
Oh yeah - and Gina.....hated her!
I remember watching 90210 when I was younger and going for Kelly and Dylan. As I watch them now, I go for Brenda and Dylan even though I already know what happens (on screen and off). I can't believe that the show started 20 years ago! It's still great TV.
Huge Brenda fan! But when Brenda left I was a Kelly fan because I couldn't stand Valerie. My friends and I used to sneakily watch in elementary school and I watched until the finale when I was in college.
I rooted for Kelly and Brandon, but always loved Dylan. Especially when he was with Antonia.
I couldn't stand Gina either. Such a trouble-maker. And ice skating? Seriously? And she and Donna are sisters?! ha! But Vanessa Marcel has gorgeous hair, doesn't she? Flawless hair.
I couldn't handle Andrea and in the later seasons when Donna was with Noah I thought she was such a bad actress. It's like Tori Spelling started trying to take herself seriously.
Right before Todd and I got married, I watched the entire series on SoapNet. I couldn't wait to get home from work every day so I could watch. Ridiculous! :)
And now I've written a novel.

I watch soapnet everyday at lunch. 90210 and then the OC. I even watch old episodes of OTH.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE 90210 and when I was little my sister (who was in college) used to tape them on our VCR and we'd watch them over and over again! My favorite episodes are the earlier ones in high school. Think my favorie episode might be the one where they graduate and cover the Hollywood sign, but I also like the one where Donna dresses up as a mermaid for Halloween and can't walk! hahaha I can't wait to get these on DVD sometime and torture my husband with them! hahaha
Like you, I just recently started watching the show. I think I got up to season 7... the last things I remember were Kelly & the fire, the Joe the quarterback, Steve meeting the chancellor. I really need to finish it, mainly because Brian Austin Greene got exceptionally hot towards the end of the show. This show really is amazing! I HATE Brenda though, I'm so glad she was kicked off the show. Her teeth drove me crazy!
I seriously love EVERY 90210 episode and still watch the reruns no matter how many times I’ve seen them. Was so sad when it went off air!! But glad the reruns are still around!! I loved all the characters, and loved the drama between Brenda, Kelly, and Dylan!! But ultimately, loved Kelly and Brandon together. Loved Dylan, and don’t know if you remember those episodes but loved him with his wife Antonia who ended up dying There are so many storylines I loved!!
I still watch it on SoapNet too and have probably watched it a billion times but I still love it. I hated Gina too! I was so torn between Brandon and Dylan. Still am :)
Gotta love the bad guy...but Brandon's hair and overall yummyness :) lol
I did hate what they did to Kelly's character over the years...it's like she became so self-righteous it was hard to root for her with either one of them...
oh i love this show! I watch it all the time on soapnet. I loved Kelly and Brandon as a couple and was not a fan of gia as well
I absolutely LOVED the original 90210. I started watching it in college ( early 2000's) from the beginning and followed it to the end with 2 episodes an evening till the end. Then it started it over at the beginning and now it's my favorite "back ground" noise show.
Best. Show. Ever. I watched it growing up, even though it was a little too "old" for me, and I still watch it today. Dylan will always be my favorite character, I tend to go for the bad-boy types too. You're right, they don't make shows like this anymore - and I could do without the 90210 remake - best to leave the original alone in my opinion!
I love 90210! I will forever be a Donna Martin fan. She was just so sweet! I never liked Kelly and Dylan though.
And Gina was terrible. She made me miss Valerie.
Did you know that Disney is doing away with SoapNet next year? I'm going to be so sad!

Kelly and Dylan have always been my faves. When he chose her over Brenda and they went to her house to tell her... Loved that season. Whenever I come across it on Soapnet I stop and watch, I even most of the dialogue... so sad:)

I am rewatching this show as well and I soooo love it just as much as I did in the nineties. Some of my reactions are different though. Like when I was thirteen I was pro-Kelly all the way, couldn't care less about B/D. But now... I feel sorry for B. What a sorry situation that was (season 3 triangle). But I still see the love between K and D even early on in the series. It was real.
Somebody somewhere said, Dylan is the original Mr. Big and Brandon is Aidan. So true! Team Big. Team Dylan!
