Food for Thought

{I can eat ALL of these Muddy's cupcakes in about 2 days, no joke}
Anyone who knows me can tell you that I am a complete sweets addict. I could live off of cupcakes, chocolate, and cake. Recently, I have tried to start eating healthier just to better my body, but it hasn't quite been working out for me.

I constantly crave junk. There is nothing better sounding to me than Chick-fil-A waffle fries dipped in Polynesian sauce. At night I will eat a WHOLE cake from Target without thinking twice. I realize that I am lucky to have a super high metabolism, but in the end I am only being stupid by eating all of this crap.

{Waffle Fry, anyone?}

Someone told me to try Greek Yogurt. I honestly about barfed in my mouth like Caroline did, but held it in. It tasted like old sour cream to me at first bite. That is, until I found the Chocolate Greek Yogurt by Oikos. Literally addicted. Go run to your Super-Target and blow it out, like I did:

{It's no cupcake, but it's better than nothing ...}

What are some healthy snacks that you all like?

I am sweets addicted like you, but having once been heavier I am now freaked out about eating fattening stuff. It doesn't really stop me, but... Anyway, the nutritionist wants me to eat more protein and the greek yogurt is great for that. I have been looking for the chocolate since you tweeted about it. Supertarget??

i love pretzels. i don't know if that's considered healthy, but it usually helps with my hunger cravings.

the picture of the waffle fries just made be incredibly hungry!

That's my favorite brand of greek yogurt. I've never tried the chocolate but the Honey is so good too! I'm seriously addicted to it!

P.S. However, no yogurt can truly touch those cupcakes....

Frozen kids yogurt! Like..Danimals ...and then you stick a popsicle stick in the top and freeze and you have a tasty/healthy/colorful snack!

I am a big sweets fan, but I've slowly started craving more of the salty foods. I still eat low-fat, low-calorie yogurt, but also really love the 100 calorie packs of kettle corn and popcorn (yummy!).

Oh I have a wicked sweet tooth too! It's terrible. Do you like honey? Or really good homemade preserves? They are both delish on greek yogurt (or regular yogurt- whateversonsale). I wish we had a Supertarget- I'll have to look at my regular grocery store to see if they carry the chocolate.

I love the sugar free fudge bars and the skinny cow ice cream sandwiches- they're no love it from cold stone but they do the trick!

i love sweets. I believe in eating everything in moderation...so if you want an oreo have 2 or 3, not the whole bag :)

Good to know about the Oikos chocolate yogurt. BTW, you named one of my favorite junk foods ever, Chick-Fil-A with Polynesian sauce *drool*

Before I even saw this post I was craving a cupcake in a bad way, and now I am dying for one! I have to agree, I love CFA waffle fries with polynesian sauce. All of their sauces are delicious. I need to try that yogurt, does it have the twangy taste that most yogurt has?

Looks like I will be making a trip to Supertarget! I'm trying so hard to be good with my eating since my wedding is getting closer!

When I'm trying to be good, my favorite snack/dessert is sliced apples dipped in low-fat vanilla yogurt with some cinnamon mixed in it. Yummy. When I was "South Beaching" it, a favorite was taking a sugar-free "fudgesicle" off the stick , breaking it up with a spoon and mixing it up with a tablespoon or so of natural peanut butter.

I think some Greek yogurt brands are better than others, but I agree ... it's awful!

I'll have to try the chocolate flavor. Thanks!

My name is Megan, too. I just started a blog: http://mytwocentsbeforeispendit.blogspot.com/

Good luck with the healthy eating, girl!

I love Genisoy Bars! The peanut butter ones are seriously YUM and soy is really good for you! I also like Kashi Bars, but not as much. Loving Rice Cakes with Almond Butter, Quaker flavored bitesize Rice Cakes (like chips!), and when I need something really bad, the Duncan Hines lowfat brownie mix is seriously amazing! Tastes the same and makes really good gooey brownies with 1/2 the fat!!!

I didn't even know they sold chocolate Greek yogurt! Thanks for sharing. I'm going to have to try it.
