PIPM: Pretty in Pink Megan: RHODC = No thank you ...

RHODC = No thank you ...

So I gave Real Housewives of DC another chance last night, and uhhhh, yeah, I am over it. These women are rude, pretentious, snobby, and boring. The whole show seems forced and fake. No one has a sense of humor at all with this cast. I will take Tardy for the Party Kim Zolciak over these cats any day of the week.

It really bothered me how Cat and Mary were talking about how Michaele used to do make-up at Nordstrom. They were saying it like it is some bottom scraping job, like, "oh yeah, she used to do myyyyy make-up at Nordstrom, boy has her life changed ..." Um, I'm sorry, but last time I checked it seems like doing make-up at Nordstrom would be a pretty sweet job (discounts, hello?). Nordstrom is a pretty legit store and at least she worked. I just can't stand Cat and Mary's pretentiousness. Mary just has this heir of snobbishness when she speaks that is super-annoying.

And excuse me, but who sends back wine at your friend's parent's get-together? Cat, that was not a restaurant. She really irks me and I don't know how much longer I can watch this show.

I really think this is the worst cast by a long shot. I have a feeling Bravo execs chose the DC show because of the whole Salahi party crashing scandal. They knew that event alone would bring this cast high ratings, and I feel like they crammed the cast together just to get the show airing.

I am already counting down the days 'til Real Housewives of Atlanta comes back on. At least those girls keep it real.

Edit: I am in no way bashing the DC area, I just don't care for this particular cast of women. And you know I will most likely still watch despite my feelings ;)

I agree, worst cast yet. I never realized until reading this post that none of the other women in the other casts are as snobby. Yes, they're all rich, and yes sometimes Teresa makes comments about living in other peoples homes being gross, but that just comes off as stupid, not snobby. The other women don't seem to talk down about people who don't also have money. I just thought that was interesting.

i agree. i tried to watch it last night and just found myself wanting to punch all of them in the face. especially cat...you can't pour your own glass of wine? really?! and that michaele is so annoying. no one thinks you look like you're in your 30's honey.

I live in the DC area and the Salahi's were interviewed on the radio station here yesterday, they actually started filming in spring of '09 before the whole White House debacle happened. So they weren't chosen for that reason.

I think with all the casts it takes a bit to warm up to them. I personally can't stand the Atlanta cast, especially Kim. NYC is my favorite but that was b/c I like Bethenny who won't be on it anymore.

I totally agree. It's like they all abide by this rule that the second you hit a certain socioeconomic class, you have to turn into this uber bitch!

And heck ya, she worked for Trish McEvoy. Those girls make great money and they get discounted everything! If you work for Dior cosmetics, you get a new Dior bag every other quarter!

So over DC girls. Loved Bethenney Getting Married Lost Footage last night. It made up for the hour I wasted wanting to barf from their snotty little comments.

I agree. The cast has terrible chemistry. You can tell that none of them were friends to start off with - so it's just forced and awkward. Think that's why RHONJ is so awesome. They're truly friends/family (except Danielle) so they have a really easy rapport.

Also, I'm from the suburbs of DC and they REALLY aren't a true representation. I guess that's how everyone feels though about these shows.

Like I said last night on Twitter, if Cat sent back "bad wine" at my house, she'd need it to numb the pain after the home-grown arse kicking' I'd serve on a platter. I am not a fan either, but I'll probably watch just to see how the whole party crashing went down. Bring back some "Tardy for the Party" and She by Sheree'!

I agree! I've tried to give them a chance, but watching them is downright painful!

I'm from the DC area and find RHODC appalling. Bravo really scraped the bottom of the barrel with these women (because, really, calling them ladies would be a stretch). Sure they're wealthy, but, as the Countess said, money can't buy you class.

My husbands boss is actually friends with the Amons and that is actually a somewhat true representation of how stuffy DC can be!! People here are pretty snobby but they are def forced friendships though and totally boring I agree but I had a feeling it would be that way. DC is not a flashy place at all!

I hate it. For the first time in my life, I actually turned the tv off instead of at least giving it a shot. Mary is the only one I can sort of stand, but Cat is ridiculous. Who sits there bashing someone's parenting skills, not only to their face, but also around the kid..who is serving you your food, aka WORKING. I understand why her first husband left her.

I'm with you! I love all the other housewives casts but this one is horrible. The women are so rude and I really don't like any of them. Can't wait for another season with a better cast!

I live in the DC area and I am not even watching this season. I guess this is how most people from Jersey felt when their season came out, pretty embarrassing. And not to mention the whole crashing of the White House dinner and the insanity that was their interview on The View.

Cat's wanna be pornstar voice makes me want to barf!! I've never seen any other cast of women try as hard as these women seem to..

Pretty sad the most likeable characters are the husbands!!

Cat is so icky!! She needs to be taken down a notch. Just because she's British she isn't the queen.

Completely agree with you! The worst one by far, it is just bad!

Agree 100%. The only person I enjoy watching is the gay dude who had the party.

Mackayla (however you say or spell that name!!) and her hubby did look so trashy getting out of that white limo...I loved the "pimp" music they played during that part, hilarious!

I really only like RHOC and NYC. Atlanta, New Jersey, now this one...eh. Nothing fun about any of them.

I didn't even start watching this cast. And gave up watching all the RH shows. They used to be funny and silly. But in the last two years they are all about who can be nastier and meaner to each other. I found myself upset after each episode. I'm bummed because I really liked several members of the NY and NJ casts but Bravo went from a new and exciting network to Queen of the Nasty.
