PIPM: Pretty in Pink Megan: Wednesday Mixed Bag

Wednesday Mixed Bag

- I'd like to wish a very happy Birthday to the best Mom out there! Thanks for being so great! I couldn't ask for better parents :)
{Let's not talk about how long my hair was here ... }

- Last night I went out to dinner for a friend's Birthday. I wore a pink Tucker printed dress with my turquoise Jennifer Miller Earrings. I just love the combination of pink and turquoise.
- I am looking for a new shampoo that doesn't leave my hair feeling greasy after one day. I have been using Frederick Fekkai Technician shampoo and condition for a while, but I feel like it's almost too heavy for my hair. I have also tried Phyto Intelligent shampoo and conditioner and those seem to work better for me. If anyone has any recommendations for a good shampoo and conditioner that doesn't weigh your hair down, but yet still detangles that would be much appreciated!
- I am so excited for my work schedule to pick back up with fall. I am the busiest from September-November and while it can be stressful at times, I really do miss the traveling. I have my same teritories as last year, and I couldn't be more excited to hit the road!
- Is anyone else completely floored that it's already mid August? I swear this summer absolutely flew by. I can't believe it's almost September and that means it's almost November (my Birthday month). I will be 26 this November and it seems like just yesterday I was turning 21. Where does the time go?
I hope you all are having a great week!

I love Suddz shampoo

Phyto products are my favorites. I have used their shampoos for about 4 years now, and my hair has never been healthier. I love their conditioner Phytosesame. It is very hydrating, but it does not weigh your hair down one bit.

I've been using Matrix Sleek Look Shampoo and Conditioner (orange bottle)and I love it, but it still doesn't keep me from getting a little oily the next day. So generally I use dry shampoo, but recently I read Nina Garcia's The Style Strategy and she recommends just rinsing your hair on the 2nd day. I tried it and it worked, but it means blowdrying again. boo! Can't believe it's mid-August! I'll be moving abroad before I know it!!!

That pic where your hair was long... gorgeous!

I use L'Oreal's EverPure. It's very gentle and sulfate-free. Then I only wash every other day.

I love Pureology Antifade in the purple bottle. I can usually go 3-4 days in-between shampooing when I use this as opposed to my other favorite brand, Bumble and Bumble.

Happy Birthday to your Mommy! I know how special moms are..don't know where I would be without mine! I love Pureology shampoo (the purple bottle). I feel like it does the least amount of stripping to my color while still getting my hair clean.

My stylist told me that I should be using shampoo without parabens and sulfates. So I've been using the Loreal Sulfate free line and I love it!

Seriously, time is flying by. I can't believe its almost mid-August. The older we get, the quicker it goes. Sigh. And all that time I was young, I couldn't wait to get to become an "adult"...I'd take it all back in a heartbeat to be "young" again:)

I really like Aveda shampoo....but my hair doesn't tangle so not sure if it meets that criteria :)

For me it doesn't matter what shampoo/conditioner I use, I can't put conditioner on my roots. I put it on the rest of my hair just not any of my roots and I can go a few days without washing if I need to. I used to use it all over then the chemistry of my hair seemed to change...

I also recommend the Pureology Antifade. It's super hydrating without being heavy. I also make sure not to put too many styling products close to my scalp to get a few extra days from my blow-dry.

Moroccan Oil hair products are really great and leave your hair silky smooth. I've used thier products for over a year and my hair is the healthiest its ever been.

I love and highly recommend Shu Uemura hair products. I've used both the Shimmer and Volumizing formulas for the past year. They're expensive, but totally worth it in my opinion. They leave my hair silky smooth and with lots of body, and I only have to wash my hair every two days.

I know it's hard to maintain but I loved your long blonde hair!

I use cheap shampoo (Aussie - buy it at Target/Walgreens), and I think it works fine for me, so I am of no help there.

My stylist turned me on to Joico products! I was hesitant at first about the moisturizing line, but it leaves your hair feeling clean and silky smooth without making it greasy. I use the moisture recovery shampoo and conditioner.

PS--have you tried Dior's new mascara yet--Extase? LOVE it.

I switched over a year ago to the Moroccan Oil products and they are great. I started using them after I had a brazilian hair treatment on my hair due to they are not loaded with sulfites.

When you find the shampoo, let me know...I have the exact same issue, but washing my hair every day dries it out. Uggg..

I really love Pureology- I've noticed a complete difference in my hair since using this brand. I wash my hair every 2 or 3 days, it doesn't leave it greasy at all. But I also touch up with a dry shampoo for some volume and texture. Cute boot picks! I'm actually excited for fall.
