A couple of weeks ago I purchased a bundle of facials from Groupon at a local skin spa. I went last week and got the Jessner's Lite peel. A Jessner's Peel is a mild chemical peel that consists of lactic and salicylic acids. The lite version contains 7% solution and the full-on Jessner contains 14% solution. I decided to try the lite during my first visit, but I already scheduled my appointment for the full Jessner to be done right before Christmas!
{Give yourself at least a couple of days after your first peel because you will look red like Samantha!}
The peel was great! The first layer didn't sting at all, so I told her to put on another layer. The second layer stung a little, but not much. I didn't start peeling until 3 days after getting the peel. I will spare you all the gross pictures, but I looked like a snake losing its skin for about 3 days. Now my face is done peeling and the results are phenomenal! I would highly recommend getting a chemical peel!
{Me with the actual first layer of the Jessner Lite Peel}
In other news, I purchased the Frye Harness Boots during the Piperlime F&F sale because I need an edgy boot to go with certain looks. I really like them! At first I was hesitant to keep them because they are SO HEAVY compared to my other boots, but I decided to keep them in the end.
I wore them with some leggings and a poncho to break them in. I really like the moto chic look they provide!

That is so weird! My mom who is an esthetician just gave me "Dermologica glycolic peels" this weekend. I just started using it this week and can already tell my skin is benefiting from it! I also heard the company by the name of Cellbone has good chemical peels and I think you can get them on Amazon for cheap!
A lot of people I know have those Frye boots and I almost bought them but was so scared bc of how heavy they were. So I bought a pair of seychelles instead!(and saved myself a lot of money haha) they look super cute on you though!!
Love those Frye boots! I've been looking for a good sturdy pair, might have to check them out.
I already use Retin-A several times per week ... I wonder if it's okay to do peels periodically as well?
Have those same Fryes in grey and love them. They are seriously heavy though so I never wear them shopping, etc.
I love all frye boots!!!!!!! But my calves are too fat for them, ugh!
That link isn't working - what peel do you use?
I've done the Jessner's Lite Peel and I looooove it! I did look like a monster for a few days, but it was wonderful after that!
Did you have to go half a size down for your Frye boots to fit??? Thanks!
The link isn't working for me either, please fix it!
I love your new Frye boots. I just recently ordered the Frye's in the Paige style. Had to send them back though, still looking...
oh wow! ive always been curious about chem peels!!! great post lovely!
I've been getting chemical peels (or rather, I was before I got pregnant) at the dermatologist office and I love them! I didn't really peel all that much. I usually got it done on Friday during lunch and just stayed inside Sunday! By Monday I was fine. I have a light at home treatment I use, I'll definitely check out the one you're using, it will cut down on the cost of having professional peels.
Do you still use your RetinA when doing the at home peels? I had to sotp using mine for about a week every time I had a pro peel
