PIPM: Pretty in Pink Megan: CBF + Bangs

CBF + Bangs

So I saw this tweeted last week and I almost peed myself laughing. Yes, I suffer from CBF or "chronic bitch face", aka, you always look pissed off or angry, even if you are beaming with joy inside!

I have suffered from CBF for years. People always tell me "SMILE!" or ask "what's wrong with you?", or say "you must not be awake yet!". No, actually this is just how I always look.

Perhaps my best CBF is when I am just pondering things (PARADISE! HONEYMOON! Yet, I look like I am about to cut someone):

Sipping a tropical drink! My appearance is saying "I HATE THE WORLD!" but inside I am saying "yeeeoowwwww!".

And don't even get me started on my CBF before my coffee in the morning:

I think I want bangs again. I need something new and spicy.

Does anyone else out there suffer from CBF?

hahaha! I suffer from CBF and always have to explain that I'm happy and fine, just suffering from some mild bitch-face.

Haha, oh my gosh, I suffer from this too! Every person I've later become friends with has confessed, "I used to be scared of you. You "look bitchy", but then end up being really nice!". Odd compliment (or not a compliment at all?). Haha. At least it's not the other way around (look nice, are actually bitchy). I also always get the "Are you ok?" or (my least favorite) "Give me a smile, sweetheart!" from guys at bars. Oh well.

Great post!

Me! I suffer from CBF too. I'll have strangers come up to me and say, 'SMILE!', or 'Cheer up' when I'm actually quite okay. I would find it odd if I saw someone walking around with a huge smile on their face.

Yes! I'll admit it! I always get the "Smile!" comment when really I'm doing just fine! So funny that you mentioned this.

I am so relieved to see that I am not the only one that suffers from CBF. It annoys the crap out of me when people are like "SMILE!"...As if everyone else is walking around with a huge smile plastered across their face.

So funny - this happens to everyone. If you smiled all of the time you would either look fake or like you were trying to sell something. You're normal :). Or would the icon be :| ?

Glad I'm not alone here. I used to work at a Subway while in college and people would always say, "smile" and I would reply, "I don't get paid to smile". Although I wasn't p'ed off or anything. Kinda comical.

Yep I'm guilty of this as well and my friends would always tell me back in my single days this is why guys wouldn't hit on me as much in bars b/c I would scare them away with my bitch face. I can't help it! And it seems weird to just sit there with a creepy grin on my face all the time.

My sister and I both suffer from CBF! That pic is so funny but so true. I just am not the kind of person who always is smiling, even if I am happy.

I have CBF too... and when my bitch face is out, my husband sometimes refers to me as Posh because she also suffers from CBF. hahaha Let your bitch face flag fly honey... you're not doing any harm.

Hilarious- I absolutely suffer from CBF! People always make those same comments to me. Glad to know that there is a formal diagnosis for my 'condition'.

Ha Ha! So glad to know there's a name for it. People are always saying, "Smile, it can't be that bad" to me. Um, I'm not unhappy. I'm just not grinning like a fool!

Haha, love this post! I also suffer from CBF. A new VP at work just asked my boss why I looked so angry in meetings. Guess I need to smile more... :)

Yes. Yes. Yes. Random people are always telling me to smile or asking "why am I so said." I think it's really disrespectful and I usually tell them I'm sad because my puppy just died. Then they feel sorry for asking.

This is my favorite post ever. Hilarious! I have CBF and my 4 year old even calls me out of it. I'll be content and happy as can be and he'll ask me what's wrong.

I think that you can rock the bangs trend. Go for it!

This cracks me up... maybe I need to be more aware of my face too ?? haha I totally struggle with the bangs/ no bangs thing. Right now I have them and don't want them anymore so I'm growing them out. But give my 6 months and I'll want them again- ugh!
