PIPM: Pretty in Pink Megan: Happy Hump Day

Happy Hump Day

Today I am wearing another top from Hallelu. It's a really cute light pink blouse with interesting embroidery. To spice things up a bit, I wore it with J.Crew Pixies and my Daniblack Leopard flats.

Friends, I am in a serious hair rut. I realize I say this probably about every two months or so. I can't help that I have hair ADD (aka I am indecisive).

I have a hair appointment next Wednesday and I think that I definitely want bangs, but I am unsure of what I want to do with the color. The dark just isn't cutting it anymore. My roots are growing in so much lighter and I need something that is going to be much less maintenance. My stylist and I had talked about lightening up my base (just roots) and gradually making it lighter and lighter with each appointment and as my ends fade, it will eventually blend in.

Here are some looks that I am loving:

- I am not sure what color to call this- maybe a pale brown? I really love this color as it looks a lot like my natural color probably would.

- I have ALWAYS loved Isla Fisher's pale red color and would love to try a shade of red sometime.

- This is a blogger, Sincerely Jules, and I love her bangs and ombre.

Just for fun I played on InStyle Makeover to see what I would look like with red hair:

Help.

Let me warn you about red...It washes out so quickly it might drive you nuts. So if you want a fun temporary change go for it! Red requires so much maintenance just to keep it red.

I dyed my hair strawberry blond before Easter and literally 2 weeks later it was back to blond. I was using good shampoo for red hair too. Ugh.

If anyone can do a reddish tint, you can! Maybe a Renee Russo type look?

I think you'd look fantastic in your natural color or red! I like the ombre too but think that you might get tired of it pretty quickly..

Go for the red, it washes out quickly but that´s a pro if you don´t like it.
Your hair is so long!!!!!!!!! I hate you ;) ♥

I've had red twice. It's hard to get rid of when you get tired of it and the redder you go, the more tan you need to be to pull it off. Red hair made me look sooooo pale! But if you decide to do it, I think it will look pretty on you... just may not give you that relief from maintenance cause your roots will show with red too.

I think you would look amazing with red hair! My natural shade is more red and I always wish I had the guts to embrace it. I think Isla Fisher is stunning.

Looking at your "hair history" post not too long ago I thought the darker hair colors looked most flattering on you. I'd see if the stylist can help you get as close to your natural color as possible and then maybe lighten up a shade or two around the face. Bangs scare me.

I am also someone who has had literally the same hair style her entire life so maybe don't listen to me.

You look great with the red. I also liked last week's pics of when you were blond. Either way, don't get bangs unless you are 100% sure about it. I cave and get them every 5 years or so and always instantly regret it.
