PIPM: Pretty in Pink Megan: Skirting Around

Skirting Around

Cute skirts, right?  Well, you will be surprised to learn where the skirts are from.  So I've been out-of-town for work and one of my co-workers wanted to run in JC Penney to get something.  I happily obliged to be their ride.  I initially thought, "pfffffffft ... why do we have to go to JC Penney's of all places?"

Much to my surprise, I saw these two cute skirts in the women's section.  I don't think I've been in a JC Penney since walking through one to get in a mall years ago.  I was pleasantly surprised to find these cute pleated skirts that are definitely on point with the trends this season.

I wore the longer pleated maxi skirt with a blazer and scarf (it's freezing here in STL where I am currently).

I wore the shorter turquoise skirt with a gray t-shirt and a white scarf.

This just goes to show you that you never know what you will find in unlikely places!

Totally true! I actually bought one of my prom dresses from JC Penney in high school and it was beautiful - total fluke and the only cute dress there at the time, but it was a great find while accompanying my mom to JCP to buy my granny some PJ's... random.

If you are still in STL, try Half & Half for brunch in downtown Clayton. I think you'd love it. Cute skirts!

JC Penney has had cuter things in their ads all of a sudden. I heard they got a new CEO and they are changing their store. I have never found anything I would buy in JC Penney, but now i've seen many things I would like!

I love the way you tied the blue scarf! Would you mind posting a link on how that knot is done?

Megan, I love your blog! I've been reading for awhile now and I am always so excited when you find the best stuff at the most random places. I had an almost exact moment last week at K-Mart of all places (didn't know they even still existed!) and got a great maxi dress and striped blouse. I am curious what you do for work though? Something glamorous, I'm sure! Keep the bargains coming!
