PIPM: Pretty in Pink Megan: Thursday Randoms

Thursday Randoms

Yesterday was our three year wedding anniversary.  We didn't have any big plans so we just went out to eat and got frozen yogurt.  After we got home we played with the dogs in the front yard.  I guess we're getting old.

I wore an old Tibi blouse with a Leiffsdottir (Nordstrom Rack find) open cardigan.  I wore my favorite J Brand 901 Japanese twill jeans.  The shoes are Valentino and were my anniversary present (mesh and studs!!!!!).

My Mother-In-Law, Jan, has created quite a buzz with her face concoction she calls "face love".  She just wrote a blog post the other day about the benefits of Morninga Oil.  People are telling her that it cures acne, red spots, and even diaper rash! I am excited to try it and will let you all know how it goes.  It is mainly used as a cleansing oil, but you can keep it on your face if you want to use it more as a moisturizer.

I have added a pair of Repetto Ballet flats to my never-ending shoe wish-list.  I love how they are simple and logo-free.  Also, they look so soft and comfy.  I am about to throw out all of my revas as they are so uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time!

I used to LOVE Kristin Cavallari on Laguna Beach and The Hills.  Sure, she was mean and catty at times, but I couldn't help but like her.  I think she is really naturally pretty and I always love what she wears.  Her recent outfit has me on the hunt for the perfect yellow blazer!
If you want to splurge, this Rag & Bone yellow blazer is very pretty and looks perfectly tailored.

For a steal, snatch up this Tobi yellow blazer for only $33.00!!

I feel the same way about my Reva's - I bought my first pair last year, but I don't think I'll buy anymore of that particular style... They are super uncomfortable. Repetto flats are lovely! I'm also lusting after a few pairs of flats by Jimmy Choo I've seen recently!

Happy Anniversary! I can't believe how long I've been reading your blog for. I remember when you got married! And before you throw out your Revas put them up for sale on your blog!

Happy Anniversary!

If the stuff your MIL gave you, I really swear by Mario Badescu's seaweed collection. Love his stuff to pieces. It is a bit more expensive but it works.

I adore Repettos -- I have been wearing them for as long as I can remember, seeing as they were my ballet supplier... I guess since I could fit into women's sized shoes and never jumped on the Reva band wagon (except for the calf hair animal print, those are great). You will not regret a Repetto shoe, they hold up to a lot of wear and are nice for work and play.

Does your MIL sell the oil mixture? I would love to get some for my daughter to try on her acne prone skin? Thanks!

happy anniversary!!! i thought you loved your revas. i'm one of those people who doesn't really find flats comfortable. they always cut into my heel, they don't stay on my feet and they aren't supportive enough to wear for more than a trip to target or something.
