PIPM: Pretty in Pink Megan: Thursday Randoms

Thursday Randoms

I have been looking for a cute dress to wear to a baby shower next weekend ... I cannot seem to find anything.  I went to Anthropologie the other day and tried on some dresses to no avail.

I actually really like the one on the left maybe with red heels?  I know it doesn't look all that flattering in the picture but it was much cuter in person.

I really love this Topshop dress as well ... but how long does their shipping take? Does anyone know?

Madewell is having an awesome promo right now!

Basically I want everything in there right now ...

This pullover sweater comes in three colors and is so soft and cozy.

This Tribune dress is seriously the best little easy black dress ... such a great blank slate for layering in the fall.

Then there's these jeans that I have that are a great dupe to the popular J.Brand ones.

One of my all time favorite booties, the Billie boot is also included in this promo ...
And lastly, hello ... everyone needs this scarf

I randomly strolled into Forever 21 the other day only to find some adorable and affordable booties! You all know I can't pass up a pair of booties!
Left (on sale for $16.99) | Right

The ones on the right are really cute on ... here they are on the model:

I also got this dress there that is much cuter in person.  It is very well made for Forever 21.

J.Crew Factory is also having a 30% off event online with code "SALE30"

Tulip Hem Dress

And of course, the excursion vests are excluded from the promo, but how freaking cute is this new print they have?

....................................................................................................................................

And if the sales above weren't enough, J.Crew is offering 25% off full-priced styles with code "SHOPFORFALL"

I told you all in a post a while back about me losing my job due to budget cuts in April and how it has been a rough year.  I was able to get a fun job a couple of months ago at a Yoga Studio, but since April I had been applying to a certain kind of "hard to get" job with no avail. I finally secured a series of interviews last month and accepted a job offer last week!  So, I officially start a business lady professional job (cue Romy & Michelle's HS Reunion) the first week of October.

I am beyond excited to get back into the hustle and grind of a career and I am so thankful to have been given the opportunity to embark on a career that I've always wanted to try.  I have my training in Chicago in a couple of weeks ... I haven't been to Chicago in a long time, so please tell me any recommendations on places to eat or shop!

....................................................................................................................................

Have a great day, friends!

When you were asking about dresses the other day, I almost posted the links to a few of those at Anthro that you just posted! I tried on the ones in the middle and the right the other day...I like the one on the left the best! Have you looked on piperlime? Also, try ASOS!

Go to Fig & Olive for brunch/dinner/drinks while you're here - it's my new favorite place!

We live in the western suburbs now and don't get downtown much. But for food I love Tratorria No. 10 (best profiteroles I've had in my life), the Slurping Turtle and anything Rick Bayless.
Also. Seven on State. 7th floor of Macy's on State. Be prepared for a food court to blow your mind.

Intermix is always a fun place to shop while you're there! The Marc Jacobs store is also pretty cool! And obviously the old standbys: Neimans, Bloomies, Barneys, Saks and Macys!

For food, Paris Club is super trendy, but great food, Gibsons is always a favorite of mine, Merlo on Maple is a kind of hidden gem, The Publican is AWESOME, Girl and Goat is good, and for a fun hotel lunch I would pick Peninsula.

If you can get in, try and eat at Alinea for a truly awesome experience, or go to his other restaurant Next and have a drink at the Aviary! Love Chicago... totally miss living there!
