PIPM: Pretty in Pink Megan: Hi There

Hi There

I feel like I've lost my zest for blogging ... I guess that can happen after doing it for so many years.  I am a firm believer in taking a little time off if your heart's not in it, so that's what I've been doing.  I may start up again or I may not, who knows.  I will say that it's been nice taking a break and I totally understand how people just lose their passion for blogging.  It's so exhausting thinking about all of the "Keeping up with the Joneses" going on out there now (which is a great movie BTW if you're looking for something interesting to watch on Netflix).  Have I fallen into that category before?  Sure, I think at some point everyone has ... but lately it just wears me out seeing it all on Instagram.  It's like a constant battle to see who can have more followers and who can have more loop giveaways to get more followers.  I remember when blogging used to be fun and carefree and I feel like it's just not like that anymore.  This March PIPM will have been around for 7 years, so thank you for sticking around if anyone is still out there :)

About two months ago I visited my first LUSH store and let a sales associate tell me what to buy.  I ended up getting the Ultrabland Face Wash (which is really like a wipe off goop, but it works).  I also got a chunk of the charcoal soap to use after the Ultrabland.  The sales associate called this method "double washing" and she said all the girls that worked there dubbed this as their favorite method.

The Ultrabland smells amazing and makes your face feel very soft and supple.  It also removes eye makeup and the majority of your face makeup.  Your face feels amazing, but not squeaky clean (which I tend to love).  That's where the charcoal soap comes in- it is gritty and leaves your face feeling there isn't a speck of anything left.

..............................................................................................................................................

I have been looking for a pair of destroyed jeans for the longest time.  Don't judge me, but i love the ones Kendall Jenner is wearing here.  Tell me the truth- how bad are they?

I am pretty sure they are the Rag & Bone Thrasher Jeans

I tend to like a skinny jean better than a boyfriend jeans, so I probably need a pair more like this:

I found this TopShop pair that seems cute, but please check out the other pics on the model from the front and back.  Either she has a really flat butt or these are very unflattering.

..............................................................................................................................................

I have picked a lot of spots on my face lately and I feel like my skin has gotten so fragile because I now have a ton of little spots that will NOT go away.  I used to be able to pick all I wanted to without consequences but now I am left with either red marks that won't go away or little indentations (almost like enlarged pores).  Do you all know of any product to help with these spots? What are you all using and loving lately?

Um, I'd be heartbroken if you stopped blogging. You were one of the first blogs I read regularly!!

I love that you blog is NOT a bunch of giveaways and advertising. I don't even read blogs that are like that!

Your blog was the first one I ever read! Please don't go. If you find something amazing for getting stubborn spots to go away, I really need to know about it. I try so many products that I love through doing beauty for The Everygirl, but I almost feel like I do more harm than good sometimes because I switch from product to product so often. I really want to find a regimen I love and stick with it for a long while.

First of all you were one of the first blogs I read. AND I still read you every day. I think sometimes that it is me, you and Kelly's Korner who still blog!!
Listen to me missy, I am a picker and suffer from those spots DO NOT DO IT any more. Your skin is telling you it is done with that. I used Roden+Fields reverse with the hydraquanone to lighten the spots. THat and Obagi blender help . YOu are too young and too pretty to start with that nonsense.
Third, Don't think I am nuts but Express Jeans are the best. They look just like those and are so cheap and always have sales upon sales. They are stretchy and have a lot of styles. They are so soft and sometimes I think my old Mommy self needs to not be wearing kendall jenner jeans but I do.
And yes, If my Ista feed fills with one more loop. I swear I tried it once actually thinking I Might win, but then I got dizzy and said no more.
Love you little dear one. don't stop blogging but do stop picking xoxo hugs xoox

Love Kendall's jeans, go for them. I had the same skin issue recently. I went for fraxel and now am using Obaji mixed in with my moisturizer (per my doc) and it's working really well.

I will be so sad if you stop blogging! I'm sure it can be very overwhelming and competitive but I like that your blog is more low key and real than some of the others I follow. When you recommend a product, I know it's because you like it... not because it was sent to you! I've gotten so many awesome products from your reviews and will miss seeing new posts from you :(

I love your blog too but honestly it's one of the only ones I still read. Instagram makes everything so easy. And ugh do I feel your pain. I used to pick to my heart's content and wake up with clear skin but the further I got into my 30s, the longer the red spots and indentations effects last. :( That's one of the side effects of aging I didn't see coming. Of course the best way to stop it is not to pick. But since I can't do that, I've had good luck with retinol (wearing le metier de beaute peau vierge under foundation) and I also love the Korres sleeping facial and 24/7 brightening cream. But I'm about to start Rodan + Fields too because my friends have had such amazing results getting rid of post-acne scars. (PS dying to try pineapple and green pepper pizza but I keep getting vetoed ha! ;) )

Completely understandable to need a break but I hope you'll come back.

Shasta Anne probably has some advice on your skin issues.

I would really miss reading your blog. Love your tips on beauty products and your great videos (one of them taught me to put on false eyelashes). Hope you feel inspired again soon.

Absolutely adore PIPM! I have been a follower for several years (like many others have mentioned) and would hate to see you go! I'm sure you've gotten a little burned out, but seriously - your blog is awesome lady! Love that it's not all sponsored posts and all that jazz. Keep up the fantastic work! Happy you are on insta so I will still be able to follow you somewhere!
