PIPM: Pretty in Pink Megan: On a Tuesday

On a Tuesday

Well hello there, friends!  Thank you all for your sweet and inspiring comments on my post last week.  I am glad to see that there are still people that stop by, so thank you :)

Can we take a moment to talk about the Grammy Awards on Sunday night?  I get such a kick out of this stuff.

First, this outfit and look ... I die.

And then Kristen Wiig showed off her insane interpretive dancing skills, yes?  I have a soft spot in my heart for interpretive dancing as I used to do a little bit myself whilst Karaoking.

How cute did my man crush David Grohl look?  I will always love Nirvana and The Foo Fighters (I swear I was meant to be an early 90's grunge punk rocker).

I didn't love any of the dresses this year ... everyone looked like they were wearing a see thru dress from The Body Shop circa 2004.

Thanks for your all's suggestions last week about what to use for hyperpigmentation and enlarged pores.  Has anyone out there ever had Fraxel?  I am all about some chemical peels and facials but I've always been scared to try the laser for fear that someone will jack up my skin.  Also, I've heard the downtime is intense (2-3 weeks) and I just don't have that kind of time.  The before and after pictures are nuts.

I am so ready to ditch the sweaters and drab colors for spring florals and brights.  Here are just a few things that are on my spring wish list:

The J.Crew heel I featured above is the Elsie and I absolutely love it- I have them in the sand suede and they are hands down the most comfortable heels that I own.  I can wear them all day working and could probably run laps in them ... trust!

I noticed J.Crew has come out with a new heel this spring called the Roxie that is sky high and I am really wondering how these will compare to the Elsie.
The model is actually wearing them with the Firework Pants that I want and they look so cute:

As your resident Netflix addict, I felt it was my duty to show you all the trailer for this show, Bloodline, that looks SO GOOD.  It is a Netflix original and comes out March 20th.  I wouldn't have even known about it if it weren't for a random ad on YouTube that caught my attention (and I didn't even skip it).

I can't wait! Mark your calendars fellow binge-watchers!

Between this and House of Cards coming back February 27th, I'd say my nights will look a lot like this:

Who am I kidding?  I look like that most nights anyways.

Happy Tuesday, loves!

I have a few friends who are super into laser treatments. I am too big of a baby, and I scar terribly, so I am too afraid to try them! Fraxel comes in a few different levels, the "baby" one will only keep out out of commission for a couple of hours, but the "big girl" one makes your face look like graph paper then it all sloughs off. It's so gross looking. Most of my girlfriends do the IPL laser treatment. I think it is a little less invasive than a Fraxel, and there is another new one that is called the something pen??? it is totally painless and they basically "scribble" this warm pen all over your face and you turn neon red, then the next 2 days you peel a little and have to cover your face with aquafor...then you have beautiful new skin on day 3-4. My biggest problem (other than the pain factor) would be the not being able to pick. I am a picker/peeler, and everyone of my girlfriends who gets lasers says that it is the #1 biggest rule - NO peeling or else you will seriously scar - like, really badly!

I just had dual Fraxel and couldn't be happier with the results. Downtime was about 5-6 days. Totally worth it!!
