PIPM: Pretty in Pink Megan: Lipsense How-To + Demonstration Video

Lipsense How-To + Demonstration Video

LipSense Lipstain Review:

I'm sure by now you've heard of Lipsense (unless you've been hiding under a rock) and have seen the multiple Facebook postings about it from your friends who sell it.  I actually started using Lipsense around November of last year.  I randomly saw someone post about it on Instagram and wanted to try it out given that I love anything new and popular in the beauty world.

It's funny because the first girl that I bought it from off of Instagram didn't send any instructions at all.  She seriously just sent the Lipsense, the Oops Remover, and the Gloss in a little bag and that's it.  I decided to give it a whirl and applied the Lipsense like i would a normal lipstick, swiping from side to side and rubbing my lips together.  I realized it was clumping and thought, "is this a joke?"

After sitting it aside and thinking that I would probably never use it again I kept seeing more and more people post about it and my curiosity got the best of me again.  I thought maybe I should give it another go and actually research online to see if I was even using it right.  I even had a coworker ask his wife (who also sells it) to see if I was doing something wrong.  Turns out Lipsense is an amazing product, but you have to follow the directions or it won't work at all.

First of all, you MUST start with dry lips.  If you've put something else on your lips prior to the Lipsense you need to make sure you wipe your lips clean before applying the Lipsense.  I just take a washcloth and make sure to wipe my lips first.

Next the method of how you apply the Lipsense is important.  This isn't like a normal tube of lipstick where you just swipe back and forth and rub your lips together (which is what I did the first time).  You must apply in even strokes going across the bottom and top without rubbing your lips together.  You let each layer dry for 5-10 seconds putting a total of 3 layers on.  You then apply the glossy gloss to seal it and you are ready to go.   It is the best lipstain gloss I've ever used.  These lipstains and gloss are much better than ones I've used from the drugstore.

Honestly, I really love Lipsense.  I generally don't wear a lot of lipstick because I hate having to reapply it all day and I also hate how it gets on my teeth.  With Lipsense I don't have to worry about those things.  I can just put it on in the morning and take it off at night. I feel like it is the best lip stain for a wedding, for Moms, or anyone just not wanting to worry about their lipstick coming off.

Now, the fun part-  I don't sell Lipsense, but one of my friends does and she has so graciously offered to give away a free started kit (Lipsense color, Glossy Gloss, & Oops Remover) if you enter my giveaway below.  All you have to do is follow her on Instagram and Facebook and you are entered to win.  Leave a comment here saying you did both :)

Followed on insta and requested to join the Facebook group. I know so many people who are either addicted or sell Lipsense, but I just haven't wanted to take the plunge just yet. I do find it crazy how different the colors look on different skin tones though!

Following on both! I've been thinking about trying for a while and have started really researching it. How long would you say a glossy gloss lasts? I read you should be applying it often and not to use any other chapsticks or anything. Just wondering if I should order an extra glossy gloss to keep in my purse and one with my colors when I do order.

I followed on instagram and requested to join the Facebook group! I am a nurse and rarely get the time at work to reapply lipstick, so I usually just go without. This may be a great option
