Last week, a reader emailed me recommending the Boscia Luminizing Black mask from Sephora. She said it was sold out online, but that some stores still had it in stock. She had nothing but rave reviews for the mask. I got the last one at my local Sephora. Wowza, what can I say, it really is a black mask- literally. It is a thick gooey mask that peels off after drying for 15 minutes. I didn't have a single pore or blackhead left after this puppy. I would 100% recommend this mask. It left my face soft, glowing, and flawless as it got every piece of dead skin and impurity from my face!
While I was in Sephora, I asked the sales assistant for a DEEP conditioning mask for my skanky hair (I blame that stupid Garnier kit- hasn't been the same since). She recommended Ojon Deep Restorative Treatment. It is a little pot of a putty-like mixture that you rub together in your hands. Once your hands warm the putty up, it turns into oil, which you then saturate your hair with.
I was really feelin' down about my horse mane, so I REALLY laid it on- I used about half of the container and saturated every strand of my hair and left it on for about 4 hours. I rinsed it out in the shower, and after attempting to blow dry my hair, I realized the product was STILL in my hair. I rinsed my hair a SECOND time and it's STILL in my hair. This stuff doesn't play around. My hair currently looks like I slathered it in olive oil and laid out in the gross hot sun for a day. Apparently it takes a few washes to get all of the product out of your hair if you use a lot. Next time I will definitely use less. Also, some complained about the smell of the product, but I really enjoyed the scent! It reminded me of a cross between peanut butter and coffee.

Would you please share how you style your hair with Velco rollers? I've tried it a number of times but I'm all thumbs and I get really frustrated! Thanks!
That pic just made me giggle, totally unexpected! And now I totally want to try this out once I track some down.
As for deep conditioning treatments, I use Pureology and I love it, it works wonders on my hair.
Ooo, masks are my weakness. I am always wanting to try a new one. Thanks for the heads up!
!!! I've GOT to get a bottle of that face mask! You should see my gross blackheads:(
I have a Frederick Fekkai deep conditioning shea butter hair mask that hubs bought me for Christmas and I love it! It's just right! Also a fan of Marilyn by Lush which I put on my hair before washing for 30 minutes or more... sometimes I sit in the sun with it so it can bake in, then wash normally... that one is nice too, but I think it's for blondes...
yum that masks sounds good...pb and coffee ;) and i LOVe that black mask! Ill def be checking that out! I here boscia products are supposed to be good for sensitive skin.
So that settles it! I've been debating on this mask...have read about it on several blogs. Headed out to buy mine! Thanks for the review!
Ummm...I think I need a mask like that!!!! I'm always scared I'll break out afterwards though. Maybe it should be a Friday night thing...
Thanks for letting us know about the face mask! I have been looking for a good one... I think I am going to have to buy this one!
I want to try that black mask! I really like that brand--they have some great products.
ok- So this post caused me to order the mask. Sephora actually had it in stock online... so maybe the readers can head over there now and get some before its gone again!
I will be getting it now in 5-7 days!
Will you keep us posted on any after effects of the mask? I take my engagement pictures soon, and I dont want it to pull up dirt and cause me to break out... =(
Ooh, I'm going to have to get that mask when I'm not broke...lolz.
That mask looks so fun! I love a good peel off mask.
I swear the best remedy for dry hair is to just quit washing it for a while (as long as you can go, 3-4 days) and then wash it. The more often I style my hair, the more likely it is to look dry and damaged. I limit blowdrying to twice a week and washes to 3 times a week.
I tried this mask last month and loved it!! I did have some dryness afterwards.
Sidenote: do cute briefcases/work totes exist? I'd love to have your feedback! :)
I use moroccan oil. I buy all of my beauty products- including essie and OPI nail polishes online, SO much cheaper. Moroccan oil is awesome! You put it in your hair after you shower, it smells yummy, and when your hair dries, it is so soft! I love your blog- and your reviews!
