PIPM: Pretty in Pink Megan: Hump Day

Hump Day

Happy Wednesday, friends.  As you can probably tell, I've been in a weird funk lately.  As someone who is generally melancholy, I am used to ups and downs, but the past couple of weeks have been super-blah.

I want to thank those of you who told me to watch House of Cards (my husband included) because it's fantastic!  It's one of the best shows I've seen since Homeland, and it definitely fills my Homeland void.  House of Cards is exclusively on Netflix, so I don't have much advice on how to watch it for those of you who don't have Netflix.  For those of you watching, how wonderful is Claire Underwood's wardrobe?  She's an odd cat, but her taste in clothes and bags is impecable!

My hair is getting too long (see picture below).  I am thinking of cutting off a few inches and getting bangs (yet, again).  My friend Shasta posted about bangs and I think they look so mod when worn with sleek straight hair.  I would probably hate mine after a week (per usual).  I know lots of people like the red hair, but I think it's time for the red to go.  I love change and I'm ready for a new color.  Maybe blonde?  Not white blonde, but a nice dark blonde like Amanda Seyfried.  I know that will make a lot of people happy who say I look better as a blonde.
Nothing groundbreaking going on with my outfits lately.  Leggings as pants are my best friend.  I know a lot of people shun this, but I think as long as they are worn with a long enough vest or sweater, it's fine.  Don't mind the mess in the background, because really, who doesn't have a mess when trying to get ready in the mornings?

Isn't this leopard coat cute?  My friend gave it to me and it's from Forever 21 of all places.  Not sure what year it's from, but I think it's older.

I've been keeping up with NYFW via instagram and tweets (how can you not, right?), and I have to say my favorite show was by far the ODLR show.  I love this look on my favorite model, Cara Delevingne.

I also loved the pink dress above.  I can just hear Rachel Zoe now, "OMG that dress is bananas it would look great on Cam with a blonde bob moment!".

Sorry to hear you're feeling blah... It's probably just the winter woes. I also loved Oscar's show... All of those toile looks were AMAZING!

The ODLR finale dress - blue with the silver threat, was so lovely. I honestly think his worksmanship is incredible as always but I have to wonder how much bigger he is going to make the skirts of these ballgowns!

I am having a shit week, too, so I hear you there.

I feel like I'm hearing about House of Cards everywhere these days! I may need to sign up for Netflix, because this show looks right up my alley.

Hope things get a little less 'blah' soon!

I'm obsessed with claire's clothes and bags! She is an evil woman with a chic closet.

WE started House of Cards and are obsessed. It's so different. Love it.

I LOVE your hair red and I think just a few inches (4ish) off with blunt bangs would look amazing.

The pink dress at the end? Totally pinned that to my vow renewal board. Yes please.

I think blonde would be fun. You look great wearing leggings as jeans because you're so tiny!

Yep. I agree. Leggings are good for all shapes and sizes AS LONG as the butt is covered.

sorry to hear you're feeling blah. sometimes i have to just anchor myself in routine and do stuff for 20 minutes (because i feel like doing nothing)...after a few days i'm typically through it and feeling more like myself. could it be dietary or some kind of vitamin or mineral deficiency? your mother in law might be able to recommend something....

i keep hearing about 'house of cards' and i'm a huge kevin spacey fan. we don't however have netflix. maybe it's time...
