PIPM: Pretty in Pink Megan: Cheap & Easy: Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask Review

Cheap & Easy: Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask Review

I have been looking to try this cheap and easy mask for a few years and have never been able to find it.  I thought that I found it once at Walgreen's and then I realized when I got home that I had purchased the facial scrub version and not the actual mask.  I kind of gave up on my search and never though about this mask again.

This past weekend my Mom and I had to run to Wal-Mart to get some supplies for a house project and I randomly thought to look for the mask there.  I was surprised to see only one left on the shelf! This mask was only ... wait for it ... $2.98!!!!!

I am pleasantly surprised with the outcome of the Mint Julep Mask.  It cleaned out all of my pores and goes on very easily and also comes off very easily.  My skin was super soft and smooth the morning after using it.  This Queen Helen mask is comparable to many other expensive facial masks that I've used in the past.

Now I am worried that I will never find it again!  I got the last one at Wally World and want to start hoarding it since it's so cheap.  I guess I will have to order it online!

You can order the Queen Helene mask here.

Are there any other Queen Helene products that you all like?  Have you tried this cult favorite?

You can read about another one of my cheap and easy skin care favorites here.

Oh nice! I have been using the Indian Aztec one you recommended and I love it!! Might have to try this too, tho it sounds like I'll have to order online.

I LOVE the Mint Julep Masque. I've used it for 15 years or longer. I always find it at the most random places -- drugstores, the dollar store, etc. -- and hoard it when I see it!

I tried their other masks and haven't been as impressed. The one with olive oil actually works really well as a spot treatment for rough elbows and feet, though.

I know I used it when I was a teen but I had forgotten about it!

Wow. I've been using this for 10 years (maybe longer) and have never had an issue finding it. I usually buy it at Harmon (with 20% off coupons or $5 off $20 or something). I can mail you some :)

And I also got the Aztec mask you recommended. Messy, but awesome!

I was looking for a new mask to try and will have to give this one a shot! Mint Julep is one of my favorite drinks, so this must be fate!

I have purchased this before and have used it a few times. It definitely gives the "minty fresh" feeling to skin. Thanks for the reminder about this product, I will have to try it again :)

I also love this mask. CVS has their own brand of it. I've also bought it from drugstore.com.

I am so happy to see you use this and love it! I know you're a such a skincare junkie, so it's nice to have that approval haha! And never fear, it is always to be found at Sally Beauty! They have the squeeze tube, and my favorite, the jar! I love to apply mine with a damp Bare Minerals Handy Buki, it helps it go on nice and thin, and then I put a little more where I need it! It's great for overnight spot treatments too! Sorry for the ramble, I just got really excited that my favorite skincare snob loves one of my all time favorite masks!!! :)

I am so obsessed with this mask too!!! It seems like one of those products that no one really knows about but the people who do love it. It's hit or miss but Walgreens and Walmart are the only places I've ever seen it.
