As I noted in my video a couple of weeks ago, I hate wearing makeup in the summer. This was an easy task when I worked from home, but now I have to wear makeup every day with an office job. Actually, the first thing I do when I get home is take off all of my makeup and jewelry.
I've figured out a great summertime makeup routine that won't leave you feeling like you're wearing a face full of caked on makeup, but still gives you the look of being put-together.
First of all, I like to use a BB cream or a tinted moisturizer for a light coverage. I've been applying mine with a flat top brush and it's been going on really flawless.
Next, I use a cream blush. I haven't really loved cream blushes in the past, but I've found that they give a really pigmented color- more so than a traditional powder blush would give. Plus they have a way of making you look more dewy than powdered blushes do.
I probably haven't worn eyeshadow in a month or so. I don't know why, but I just don't feel like wearing any when it's so hot outside. I will take my concealer around my eyelid area to give it a good base color, but that's really it.
I've found that finishing off with a light dusting of bronzer is key. I have learned that less is more with bronzer and you really just want to highlight your cheekbones and your t-zone, but nothing more than that.
Finally, I use my trusty Rosebud Salve for lipgloss. It's good because it keeps your lips hydrated all day, but can also be used for other stuff such as dry skin or dry cuticles.
