Yesterday we drove down to Jackson, Mississippi to pick up our new rescue brussels, Apple. She is so sweet, but just a little scared of everything. I think it's going to take a week or so for her to get used to her new surroundings and psycho sister, Miss P. Yesterday the two would not stop growling at each other. They actually got in a little scuffle when Apple attempted to jump in my lap. Any advice from the dog-savvy would be appreciated.

My dog was a very Alpha female when I got her, so when I went home to live with my parents for a month, my Tessie would go after my parents' dog. It took them a bit, but after showing Tessie that I loved her more but also loved Tallie (my parents' dog), Tessie got over it. Miss P. is just jealous at the moment, but she should get over it. Make sure you separate the dogs during eating time though!
aw shes a cutie! cheese the chihuahua scuffles sometimes when other dogs that are going to be staying for awhile try to intercede on my attention, you just really have to encourage play with the other dog, and pull both dogs into your lap and give simultaneous attention... dont allow anyone to get more love and they will acclimate and not scuffle!
