Keep in mind I am obsessed with yellows. I love love love it when I walk into someone's house and they have yellow walls, yellow patterns, yellow brick, ANYTHING yellow.
Here is what I have come up with ... will probably use the two darkest on this pallet:

LIVING AREA:
With this sofa:

some random throw pillows:

and this armchair:

with this rug:

DINING AREA:
with this table:

and this dining room chandelier:

and this rug:

with this art adorning my living and dining areas (i personally know the artist):
Also, I'm not so worried about drapes, as I think plantation shutters are enough of a window adornment as is.
Now, how I am going to pay for all of this is another story. I am thinking of having a MASS ebay sale of old purses, shoes, jeans, etc. Also, street prostitution is never out of the question ... haha! jk! But did I mention this is ALL from pottery barn? YIKES! Someone needs to tell me where to get things that look like this for CHEAP!

West Elm is the mini-store from Pottery Barn. There isn't a store here, but I've been to the one in Nashville, in the Green Hills area. And I've bought a lot online. They actually have some of the exact same stuff, just cheaper (for whatever reason).
Ebay is the best for selling old things, especially used high-end items like purses, jeans, etc. I used to sell things all the time, I loved it.
Have fun with the decorating!
Love the furniture choices! I'm a huge fan of the paint choices. Neutral colors on the walls make it easy to match everything :)
Love Love Love the armchair!! And the chandelier too. Fabulous. Enjoy!
Go to world market. Also, it's little known that there is a Pottery Barn Outlet in Memphis.
You could always get a Pottery Barn credit card...I know people always say "don't get credit cards!" which is probably a good idea if you have a few already BUT...furniture is a great thing to buy with credit. It's a big task to furnish a whole house- and of course you'll want it to be perfect, being your first home and all. I would get a credit card, buy the big ticket items and then aggressively pay it off. I buy all of my decorations on ebay and at Homegoods....but my couch is from pottery barn, throw pillows from Williams Sonoma Home, and my bedroom furniture is some expensive shit that i obviously didn't buy...but all of my knick knaks are cheapies.
AWWWWH How FUN!!... You did PRETTY GREAT coming from a designer since you just said that you aren't even good at decorating! LOL.. give yourself some credit girly! I am SO stoked about your new adventures coming to you... LIVE IT UP!!!
If you have wedding question's SO e-mail me I scoped EVERY place in NE FL and beyond! LOL
I'm right there with you... Wedding planning + furniture shopping turns into so very much money...
TLOML and I are committed to picking up investment pieces, such as HDTV, Select Comfort Mattress, etc., first, and letting the decorating wait. It's hard, though. I totally want to do a Lilly guestroom soon....
I ordered that rug from Pottery Barn this summer. I was really disappointed with it. Low quality. It sheds so much...fills the vacuum up with fibers every single time I vacuum. It is pretty though.
I have the tile rug in yellow. And actually I just threw it away this weekend because I got so fed up with it. I have been to the outlet. It is decent. There is a West Elm next to it and a William Sonoma also. I actually will admit I frequent them a lot! There are tons of rugs! BTW, that chandelier is fabulous!
LOVE the chandelier!
I love all of the pictures of things you like. Yellow and Blue is a gorgeous combination!
That will look so pretty!
I think everything will look great! It looks stylish, classic and comfy!
