Updates + New Vlog with Saks Friends & Family Finds

I am still loving the J.Crew Midi Skirts ... I just wore the navy one last week and love the way it looked with a white tee and pumps.

J.Crew Midi Skirt (30% off with code "TIMETOSHOP")

I have also found the best blazer at J.Crew Factory- I got it in blue and black.

Here I am wearing it in black and I wore it with a pencil skirt that is also from Factory.

If you have an Off Fifth go see if they have these nude pumps- they are seriously the best! The brand is "Saks Fifth Avenue" black label.  I can't find them anywhere online, but they look super expensive and were only 59 dollars.

Here are the items I talked about in the video:

And here's the link to the Refinery 29 Eyebrow Transplant article.

Beauty Reviews, Mom Jeans & More

Apparently "Mom jeans" are back in style? I've been seeing them everywhere in fashion magazines and on trendy people via Instagram.

I always think of the SNL Mom Jeans skit ...

Or how about some Brenda, Kelly, and Donna???

I popped into Madewell after work yesterday and lo and behold Mom jeans greeted me at the door.  They were on the mannequins ... on the tables ... hanging from hangers, they were basically BEGGING me to try them on.  I am ashamed to say that not only did I like them, but they came home with me!

Madewell also had an adorable jumpsuit that ties at the waist.  I purchased this one as well as I loved the easy breezy feel of the linen blend.

It's amateur hour around here and I made a beauty review vlog in celebration.  I attempted to film the video on my iPad and didn't realize it was going to be small like this- oh well!

I really want an IRO Paris pastel leather jacket, but they are just so expensive! Has anyone seen a cute and lightweight leather jacket that would be a good spring layering piece on the cheap? I have searched high and low and I either find one that is super expensive that I love or one that's cheap but looks like it's highly flammable.

Here are a few things that have caught my eye over the past few weeks.  I am finding myself yearning for new things with the weather becoming increasingly nicer as the days go by ... one can dream!

Mid-Week Randoms

Here's an outfit that I wore a couple of weeks ago that I loved ... none other than the J.Crew Midi Skirt that I got in 3 colors!

I wore it with the black J.Crew Roxie Pumps and a black leather vest.

I also wore these awesome J.Crew earrings that matched the salmon skirt perfectly.

I recently got these Madewell "shooties" for spring.  They are very easy to slip on and wear with jeans, leggings, or bare legs.  They are currently on sale!

I love inappropriate humor and cheeky sayings ... I don't take life too seriously and think you should always laugh.  I've been wanting these Jonathan Adler "vice" containers for a couple of years now and finally decided to pull the trigger on a couple.

I placed them on my dresser (hoarder status) along with my new antique mirror (estate sale find).  I did a major beauty product purge but it clearly didn't put a dent in the dresser collection.  I will clarify that our bathroom is tiny and there's no vanity or sink area in our bathroom, so this is where I have to get ready everyday.

I've also done a major perfume purge as of late and really only keep the ones that I rotate on my perfume tray.  I have always loved all things French, so my perfume collection accurately reflects that love.

Perfumes:
Eau Frivole Fragonard (from my study abroad in Paris- i'll never get rid of it!)

Here are a couple of random outfits from the past few weeks:

I miss being in college at UK almost every day and when basketball season rolls around it makes me nostalgic even more.  UK is undefeated and will be playing in the final 4 this weekend, so I decided to spruce up my fan gear by purchasing some sweatshirts from Shop Local KY.  These sweatshirts are seriously the softest things I've ever put on my body.  Highly recommend!

When I saw this dagger scarf I just knew that I had to have it.  I have an edgy side that loves all things skulls, daggers, crossbows, etc.

............................................................................................................................

Keeping up with my tassel/fringe obsession, I got these tassel earrings from KY Jewelry designer, Summer Eliason.  Aren't they fun?

Remember a while back I posted about the new Netflix original series called Bloodline that was set to premiere March 20th?  I binge watched the whole series in just a few days.  If you like dark mysteries you will LOVE this show.  It kind of reminded me of a mixture of True Detective meets Revenge.  Plus it doesn't hurt that you get to watch Coach Taylor play a police detective :P

The great couch search continues and now I am looking for a huge piece of art to go in our living room where the crazy zebras once lived- RIP.  I decided the zebras didn't match anything and looked too crazy, so I'm in the market for a HUGE painting to go there.  I love anything bright- abstract or florals.  I love Ashley Longshore pieces but they are sooooo expensive.

Here is the Zebra in all her glory:

Or something like this:

Sometimes I think that I could paint something similar to the brushstroke one above if I just went at it with some paint.

Have a great Wednesday!
