Let's talk about new sunglasses, shall we? I always get excited around this time every year for new sunglasses. I am such a sunglass fanatic and lately I've been wearing the heck out of my Celine Audrey sunglasses:
I am on the hunt for a new pair, though. I am loving the Tom Ford Carrie Sunglasses:
Any recs for a good pair of oversized sunglasses?
We're having some weird weather lately. It was almost 80 degrees last weekend and now tonight we are under a winter weather advisory. I have mastered the "mixing" of seasons look. I wore a sweater dress with light boots, scarf, and jean jacket out to dinner tonight. I promise my hair will be blonde soon and you won't have to look at my hideous lighter roots. I guess this is the curse of actually having naturally light(ish) hair.
Wearing: J.Crew Sweater Dress, Loeffler Randall Boots, Gap Jean Jacket, Random Scarf (similar for only 15 dollars!), Goyard St. Louis PM bag.
I have another question for you people. What's your absolute favorite, most comfortable heel/pump shoe but one that's still somewhat stylish? I had to wear heels for 4 hours yesterday and I am not kidding when I say that I had to soak my feet yesterday because they were all jacked up. Of course I am stupid and buy Louboutins that are not known for their comfort. But I was surprised that after wearing my Stuart Weitzman pumps yesterday my feet were crying after I took them off. What gives? Am I just getting older?
This is what I felt like I was wearing yesterday.
Have a great weekend, friends!

I LOVE that first pair of sunglasses!
I find the older I get the less I can wear super high heels. And I even wore heels through both of my pregnancies.
I feel like Stuart Weitzman comfort/quality has really gone down hill in recent years. For long hours in heels (spoken from a former tradeshow manager) I highly recommend anything from the Cole Haan Nike Air collection. Hurry though, Nike just sold Cole Haan!
Ugh yes! I got sesamoiditis last year in my right foot from wearing heels all the time & it still hasn't healed all the way. I have to stick these special pad things in my heels. Let me know if you find something really comfy!
I have the LK Bennett Sledge pumps that are pretty comfy - I think the small platform helps. I also have a pair of Ann Taylor perfect pumps with the platform that are surprisingly comfortable. I also cheat and wear my Tory Burch sophie wedges a lot because they look like a nicer hear heal but are a wedge!
i've already had one foot surgery and just cannot wear heels like i used to. it depresses me greatly.
i have found that i can surprisingly wear Zara's court heels for an extended period of time without feeling crippled. some heels that absolutely kill me include LAMB, Kate Spade, Loubs of course, and cheaper brands like Steve Madden and Aldo. So basically i have to really choose carefully or just plan to only wear while sitting. le sigh.
I actually really love Cole Haan pumps. They usually have Nike air technology so they are more comfortable than other heels. I got the nude Air Violet Pump 60 at 6pm during Black Friday and wore them all day/night to a wedding and didn't have any problems. And I NEVER wear heels! They have lots of plain styles for work but tons of cute ones also. And as a bonus, Cole Haan is frequently on Gilt, RueLaLa, etc. if you want to try them at a discount.
I put foot petals in all of my pumps. It keeps your feet from "sliding" down in the shoe and causing discomfort. I buy them at Dillards in the shoe section.
I've found Tory Burch heels to be by far the most comfortable, particularly ones with a bit wider heel. I wear heels 5 days a week for 9-10 hours a day and her heels are my go to.
Cole Haan with Nike technology!
For me anything with a wedge instead of a stilleto is key. my go-to is pour la victoire's mai wedge - they come in a bunch of different colors and are super comfortable. i own nude and black suede and wear them all the time to luncheons, dinners, weddings, you name it!
I am no help on the heels front I don't wear them often. I tend to rock more booties that are pretty comfortable. Love your sunnies!
My favorite heels are the perfect pump from Ann Taylor. I also have one pair of the wedge version. They're reasonable (especially if you're near an outlet) and I find them to be comfortable - lots of colors/prints/styles too!
Megan, it's great to see you on Instagram! First thing first, I couldn't stop staring at the first photo. Whooo-eeee, gorgeous. You wear colors so well and those sunglasses suit you marvelously.
I moan about the ridiculously uncomfortable heels that are so prevalent these days on my blog all the time. I've been on the road of finding comfy heels since last year. To date, I haven't found Louboutin heels to live up to their hype. I was in agony after wearing the peep toe pumps for 30 mins. The ones that work well for me so far have been the cheaper heels (??!!). I'm going to check out the Ferragamo wedges when I'm in London next. Apparently, they're pretty comfortable.
My most comfortable pumps have been Kate Spade pumps, peep toes, anything! Especially the Carolina style. Now, I've had the same pair re-soled for years and they may not be as great now. But I really love them.
Perfect pumps from Ann Taylor (regular store) are my favorite!!! So comfy and great shape too.
