First of all, the pun was definitely intended in this blog post title. A watch just has a way of completing a look, even though I rarely actually use mine to tell time. I find myself checking my phone if I need to know what time it is.
I have a ladies Rolex that I received as a gift a long time ago and I literally wear it every single day. I do have a couple of other high-fashion watches, but I find myself always going back to a classic. I don't really buy a watch unless it's an investment piece because so much can go wrong with watches and you want one that will stand the test of time (again, another intended pun).
I love the look of women wearing large oversized men's watches and I wish that I could find a vintage Men's rolex or some stunning watches by Girard Perregaux that would be cheaper than finding a new one. I think that the 42mm size is perfect for the "men's watch" look. I think this is definitely what Michael Kors was going for with the popular gold watch that you see all the girls wearing these days.
I also love the look of a leather banded watch. I particularly love exotic leather bands with gold hardware. I am all about big watches right now, so I think that a huge faced watch with a brown leather band would be killer to wear all-year-round. Timex makes a great one that is both affordable and practical, all the while still looking stylish. I actually featured this watch a couple of year's ago in an old post.
Do you all have a particular watch that you wear every day or a style that you like? I always feel like my wrist is naked if I don't have a watch on. Do you feel the same way?

I have a silver Michael Kors that I wear everyday, but I have been eyeing some leather band ones for my next purchase.
LOVE a leather band watch.
I have a couple of oversized MK watches, but rarely wear them anymore. I feel like they got a little overexposed with every other person wearing the same/similar ones. I have wanted to invest in a white Chanel J12 for a while, but I'm not sure if it's a true classic, or something that I'll get tired of when I'm older. Given the cost,I definitely want to be sure I can wear it forever. I would love to get a rose gold Rolex someday too...
I have my Grandfather's Girard Perregaux. It is gold with a lether band... looks a lot like the Timex you posted. I hardly ever wear it because I'm afraid I'll lose it. I need to get over it.
I have baby wrists. My David Yurman is all kids sizes and they still have room to spare! I get the "oversize watch look" with normal size watches! I haven't found my perfect everyday classic watch yet, but I own a few Timex watches and love them to death. They give a polished look when I need it and I'm not worried about ruining them because they are inexpensive!
I am obsessed with Panerai watches. They're oversized men's watches that were initially designed for the Italian air force. I loved their black dials with a brown leather strap. Too bad they're $$$$.
My other dream watch is a large Cartier Ballon Blu.... Two toned!
I have a Gucci watch that I've had for years that was given to me as a gift... I haven't worn it in at least 5 years... I use my phone too.
