PIPM: Pretty in Pink Megan: Rare Find

Rare Find

So, I have been on the lookout for a jewelry organizer for months. I have so much jewelry and every piece is in the most random place. I pile my earrings all together in a little dish and they get tangled together. I can never keep track of what I have because all of my jewelry is scattered about in random places on my dresser.

Randomly, I was in Steinmart tonight and saw all of these jewelry organizers! And for only $14.99?! I was sold!

It doesn't quite hold everything and I still have to put some items in my jewelry bowl, but it's a start!

I am afraid the weight of my massive turquoise necklace is going to break the poor little thing, but it will do for now!

What do you all use to organize your jewelry?

I got a jewelry tree a lot like that one at Target. It was $20 but I really like it! And like a month after I bought it I found even cheaper (and cute) ones at TJ Maxx. Mine is really full, too.

This is a constant issue for me as well. I bought a cute jewelry tree from an accessories store here a while ago to hang stuff off of when I take it off at night, I have a small leather organizer for smaller stuff like earrings and rings and for the big stuff, I keep it piled into the box from when I bought the Love Chloe gift set before Christmas... perfume boxes are cute and they hold a lot! I keep super valuable or sentimental pieces in another small leather jewelry box so they remain unharmed. I don't think anyone has a truly great system for this... except maybe Rachel Zoe. Goodluck!

How cute! I love that everything is visible. I think that's *so* important.

I keep my earrings on a mesh holder that Hubs made for me and in little glass bowls. I keep necklaces on a little wooden thing w/ pegs. (See here: http://tangledintexas.blogspot.com/2011/03/myo-make-your-own-earring-holder.html)

Luckily, my dresser comes with 3 (THREE!) jewelry drawers at the top! And they have little organizers in is so you can keep everything in place. All the drawers are velvet and they're pretty large!

I use a french bulletin board with push pins to hang all of my necklaces on. Then the ribbon on the board is a good place to hang the earrings with hook backs. I wear a ton of necklaces and have them organized my color and hanging in the hall by my closet/mirror. It makes it much easier to pick the right necklace for the day!

Holds a lot.

I have one similar to that one as well. At $14.99, you could go buy another! :) I also use some antique silver & enamel bowls to hold earrings and bracelets. Since I make jewelry, I'm always adding to my collection and finding a new need for an organizer! Urban Outfitters has some pretty cool jewelry holders too.

I've got one of those cloth organizers with pockets that hangs in my closet & a jewelry box. Stuff I wear a lot goes on a bulletin board in my closet to grab easily, but everything else is in baggies so I can pack fast!

I am absolutely in love with my jewelry cabinet by Lori Greiner, it holds so much and does not take up any space on the floor. http://www.qvc.com/Gold-&-Silver-Safekeeper-Jewelry-Cabinet-w/-Wall-Mount-by-Lori-Greiner-For-the-Home.product.H1043.html?sc=H1043-COLL&cm_sp=VIEWPOSITION-_-3-_-H1043&SC_Id=User
I also have the one for cosmetics which is a life/time saver in the morning. http://www.qvc.com/Tabletop-Spinning-Cosmetic-Organizer-by-Lori-Greiner-Search-Results.product.H164200.html?sc=H164200-SRCH&cm_sp=VIEWPOSITION-_-5-_-H164200

I am a 'one-pair-of-earrings-girl', but one of my best friends has this problem! She made one of these do -it - yourself frame/screen earring holders, and it turned out SOOO cute! Here is a link to a site with similar frames: http://www.squidoo.com/earringholder
