I love Florida ...

We are going to the Seaside/Watercolor/Grayton Beach/Santa Rosa area in a couple of weeks and I would love your all's recommendations! I haven't been in a good while, so I would love any restaurant, shopping, boutique, etc. recommendations any of you have. I am sure it has grown since my last visit!

I'm a Florida-born girl (Sarasota) so I don't know much about that area - but have a wonderful trip!

That's where my family and I used to vacation when I was in high school! Its such a lovely little place, but as you said, I'm sure its grown up a lot since my last visit. I remember there being a great little pizza place, I think it's called Bruno's? Best cheese bread EVER -- they use riccotta.

I got to Seaside at least twice a summer and can't get enough... for sure Bud n Alley's for great food and the rooftop deck for night drinks... Pickles and Modica Market for lunch, Red Bar for their crazy and eclectic dinners, and head to the Sugar Shak in Rosemary Beach for ice cream!

They have some great new dress shops in Seaside too so you must check out =)

Love that area! My parents are planning on moving there. About 50 miles south is oyster capital of the world and they should really be coming into season (if you like that sort of thing), I do. Port St. Joe!

I'm also going there in a couple of weeks!
Bud N Alley's, Red Bar, Cafe 30-A, Fish out of Water.
Go to Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin (about 15-20 mins away). Lots of cute shops and restaurants there.

I haven't been here yet, but I heard this place was really neat...

I was at Seaside about a year ago and it is GORGEOUS! There is an adorable snow cone shop in an airstream trailor that is amazing.

You will love it here. Willow in Rosemary is a must for you as well as the newly opened (and just as fabulous) Drift boutique which is also in Rosemary Beach.

I'm going to the Destin area in August! I'm excited to read the comments here! I don't know if you're willing to venture to Destin but my all time favorite is The Back Porch there! right on the beach and great cocktails!

They just opened a spin off resturant of the Red Bar on Hwy 98 (between 30A & Sandestin) called Louis Louis... similar to Red Bar but their Blackened fish is AMAZING

My family and I are going to Watercolor in a couple of weeks! I grew up going to Seaside but we've been going to Watercolor for the past 3 years and we'll never go anywhere else! The whole area is wonderful! Cafe 30-A is delicious and has the BEST martinis! Also, the Barefoot Princess/Island Clothiers is a great shop with tons of great brands!

Go get crab cakes at Red Bar on Friday night in Grayton Beach or I love to catch a Dread Clampitt show at Red Bar for Sunday Brunch. Bud & Alley's of course. There is also a wine bar across the street that we love. My friend's boyfriend Jim owns Great Southern Restaurant in Seaside. They have great shrimp and grits. I like Cafe 30-A for a nice atmosphere.

I think Bruno's closed down years ago. They did have good pizza and late night crowd.

I am getting married in Watercolor in October! I am so jealous you are getting to go. I think I may have to plan a few emergency planning trips down throughout the summer! Have a great time. You're going to love it!
