PIPM: Pretty in Pink Megan: A Perfect Murder: Wardrobe Report

A Perfect Murder: Wardrobe Report

Tonight I caught one of my all time favorite movies on TV, A Perfect Murder.  I always loved Gwyneth's wardrobe in this movie as she played wealthy Emily Taylor who is caught up in a love affair with someone her husband hires to kill her.

The funny thing is that every time I mention watching this movie (which is multiple times per year), someone always says that they loved her wardrobe in the film.

I thought it'd be fun to replicate some of "Emily Taylor's" timeless looks from the film.

Do you all love this movie as much as I do?

Love this movie! Gweneth's wardrobe in this and Rene Russo's wardrobe in The Thomas Crown Affair are my two favorite movie wardrobes ever! Both so timeless and chic!

This is one of my all time favorite movies. I went to see it three times in the theater because I was so obsessed with wardrobe.

Great post.

Surprisingly, I have never seen it. Gwyneth is one of my all time favorites, so I am sure I would love it.

I fall into the love this movie but hate Gwyneth Paltrow camp. Did dig her mid 90's style in the flick. Find her insufferable now. Stop with the affected Brittish accent you phoney! Stop telling us to eat macrobiotic.

Agreed, I totally love this movie and Gwynnie's wardrobe in it is amazing! I also love their apartment decor - the sconces in the kitchen have been on my lust list since I first saw them.

This is a great flick. I think seeing her in this film is what inspired me in high school to wear camel and black together!

Absolutely echo The Waspy Redhead's comments! Love the movie, find Gwyneth as insufferable and phony as Madonna with her faux Brit persona. And GOOP, don't get me started...

That said, agree that her wardrobe is perfection! Stunning! The movie is beautifully styled and filmed, but overall just okay...I much prefer the original Grace Kelly in 'Dial M for Murder' this was based on. If you like movies along this line, try 'Unfaithful' with Diane Lane, Olivier Martinez and Richard Gere. Def a grab a glass of wine and cozy blanket chick flick! Cheers!

Loved her pearls as well. It's funny because whenever I mention this as one of my favorite movies, people think it's morbid, and then I have to explain about the wardrobe, apartment and jewelry!
